First release of this great kit from 1979. Feature full interior detail and clear fuselage section. The clear fuselage is in 'excellent++' condition with only the slightest wear. NOTE: this kit has very minor assembly. The two part clamp for the ball turret has been assembled and painted. Quality of work is very good. There is no other assembly. NOTE: this kit has minor painting. The cockpit floors have one coat of silver paint on them. The coat is thin and easily painted over or stripped with any safe plastic paint stripper (like DOT3 brake fluid or spray oven cleaner). The following parts are silver and not olive drab plastic: seat supports, tail wheel bulkhead, three cockpit bulkheads and two bomb halves. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes 'excellent' decals and instructions.

NOTE: this kit has various built and painted subassemblies including interior tub, seats and dashboard (assembly 'excellent', paint 'good'), Cab shell built ('very good++' and not painted), engine built and painted ('very good++' build and 'good' paint), frame built with suspension (build 'excellent' but paint 'good-' [heavy]), wheels built (professional quality, no paint), radiator built ('very good++' and no paint) and gas tanks built ('very good++' and no paint. There is no other assembly and no other painting. The model is missing (4) small parking brake cylinders (go on the back of the front wheel backing plates), the right door safety clear and the shift mount bracket that goes on the frame. None of these parts would be difficult to make. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts present and 'excellent' decals and instructions.

The B-58 and 'Supertanker' (actually the Prototype 707, the 367-80) are ex-Comet kits that Aurora obtained when they bought out Comet. The B-58 is 1/175 scale and the Dash 80 is 1/300. The Dash 80 has the prototype marking decals.
