Still factory sealed. 1999 reissue of the 1964 Revell kit with a Monogram box. Very nicely detailed 1/48 scale kit that contains both models and display stands as well as collector's patches. This kit is a fine example of 'mold swapping'. Originally Revell cut the molds and issued this kit in the 1960s. Then Revell and Monogram merged, and the kit was reissued under the Monogram name.

1972 issue from the original 1960s molds. Highly detailed. As with most early Revell ship models, this one is considered a masterpiece of the mold maker's art for that time. Full hull kit features full deck details, brick try works and all fixtures, vac sails, preformed ratlines, detailed rigging instructions, seven whale boats, display stand and more. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including flags and instructions.

Ex-Olin molds. Wonderful and well detailed kit. Running hardware included for motorizing. Hull is about one foot long. RC was never imagined for such small models during the 1970s but this kit could be easily made radio control with today's technology. Molded in white and a beautiful gloss mahogany. Never started. Inventoried with all parts, flags and instructions present.

Small scale kit. Well detailed for it's size and from Sanwa molds. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

Life-Like Monitor and Merrimac - ex-Pyro Molds, 09257

From ex-Pyro molds. The Monitor is 10 inches long and the Merrimac is 11 inches long when built. Never started. NOTE: the Merrimac is still in the factory sealed bag but the Monitor is not. The Monitor is missing one stack half and the prop shaft. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts and instructions. These are not the Lindberg kits but are from the original Pyro molds and have superior detail to the Lindberg issues. The two American Civil war ships that spelled the end of the wooden ship age. In March of 1862, the Merrimac put to sea to raise the Union Blockade off the St. James. There she sank the Cumberland and Congress. The Monitor, the Union's only ironclad and the first turret ship, was rushed to the scene. The epic battle between the two iron-clad ships ended in a draw, with the Merrimac suffering a little more damage than the Monitor. The Merrimac was blown up to avoid capture; the Monitor sank in a gale in 1862.

Decals represent an aircraft from the 601st group which was partially equipped with the new Judy and took part in the 2nd Battle of the Philippine Sea. The model as never been started. The parts are either still in the factory sealed bag or have been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Very large model measures over 31 inches in length when assembled and features highly detailed cockpit and ejection seat escape system, landing gear and gear wells and YJ-93 Turbojet engines with afterburners. Rare late 1950s Cellovision issue with Ray Gaedke artwork and intact clear panel and trading card on the back. The kit features movable ailerons, wing flaps, rudder, pilot and copilot figures and a large, clear round-base stand. The box art a/c, VX777, was the aerodynamic prototype of the Mk. 2, and first flew on August 31, 1957.

Revell P&O Ocean Liner SS Oriana, 1/493, H376-298

Still factory sealed. The model is 20 inches long and well detailed. The Oriana was a very famous P&O Orient Liner. This is a 2006 reissue of the original 1961 kit. In December 1962, in fog off San Diego, Oriana collided with CV-33 USS Kearsarge, causing considerable damage to both vessels. A claims court found Oriana's captain had been steaming too fast for conditions. The CV was for a time afterward good-naturedly nicknamed "The Mighty Kay-runch."
