Excellent condition box and kit dated 1960, but from a later date than that due to the logo variation. Molded in a brilliant gloss deep blue and clear with the clear triangle 'World' stand. These molds are from one of Aurora's first two kits - the F9F and F-90. Aurora simply went out and purchased the early Hawk F9F and F-90 kits and copied them almost exactly. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Instructions and decals are in exceptional NM condition.

Long out of production and from the early to mid 1970s. From ex-Pyro molds. Designed from the original blueprints furnished by the American President Lines. Has markings for the Ocean Liners SS President Wilson or SS President Cleveland. These fine ships sailed to exotic Pacific ports and did at least one Round-The-World Cruise each year. At the time the kit was made, they were the only two ocean liners flying the American flag. This kit is 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. There is no assembly. However NOTE: 1/2 of the decks are painted tan and the two funnels painted blue. There is no other painting.

SALE! 1963 hardbox with Jo Kotula artwork. First issue; please note the front has the blue oval logo and the side panel logos so have 'Famous Fighters' in the border. Molded in the correct gloss tan and black plastic. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. This is part of the famous Aurora WWI series of 1/48 scale aircraft. The series began in 1956 and Aurora added new kits into the early 1960s. The line proved incredibly popular, so many of these were included in the 'mold upgrade' in the 1970s before Aurora went out of business.

Lodela stretch DC-8 issue with very colorful Flying Tiger Line decals. Molded in silver. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: one nose tire is white and both nose tires have a hole (no axle). The white tire is from another Revell DC-8. One molded on brace is missing from a main strut; it is easily replaced with stock plastic or pulled sprue. Decals are in 'mint' condition. From 1994. Nice 1/144 scale kit of the world's first jet airliner. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. The initial Comet I was in operation long before the 707, which gave the British an incredible post-war lead in the expanding civil aviation market. Just as the Comet was flying high and orders were pouring in from around the world, Comets began to mysteriously fall out of the sky. Everything from lighting to terrorist bombs were blamed. For months the root cause went undiscovered. Then, in a landmark investigation that is considered the first modern post-crash autopsy, it was discovered that the stresses around a small ADF window on the top of the fuselage were causing metal fatigue failure when the fuselage was pressurized. To confirm this, a Comet I was placed in a water tank and subjected to pressurization stresses. After some time, a dramatic failure occurred. Then parts of a crashed Comet were pulled from underwater proving once and for all that this was the root cause.

1965 Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. The model includes real rubber tires, chrome plated parts, clear windshields and light lenses and red injection molded parts. Features detailed chassis with suspension, gas tank and steering linkage, complete motor and interior, spoked wheels, optional convertible top and removable hood. The kit has never been started.
