Still factory sealed. 1960s/early 1970s stick and tissue flying model with a big 34 inch wingspan. Designed for rubber power but could me made RC with modern small receivers, servos and electric motors. Features high quality printwood, pre-cut strip wood in multiple sizes, nose and nacelle blocks, dowels, completely formed and painted wooden wheels, rubber motors, hardware, propellers, other wooden stock as needed, insignia and full size plans.

Comet Taylorcraft - 54 inch Wingspan For R/C or Free Flight, 3505

Purchased new on March 3, 1968. Very large scale kit with 54 inch wingspan. For rubber or gas free flight or RC (radio control). This is a reissue of a much older Comet kit. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, high-quality balsa pre-cut stringers, balsa printwood, detailed full size plans, building instructions, wheels, tissue and propeller. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Revell Northrop F-89D Scorpion - 'S' Issue with Early One-Piece Stand Arm, 1/80, H221-89

1955 first issue in the 'S' hardbox. Fantastic early artwork in exceptional condition. Color and gloss are like new and all four corners are solid with no repairs. This kit contains the true first issue one piece stand arm to the Revelving base. In practice, this arm was too brittle and weak and broke very easily. Revell was quick to replace it it and change the instructions accordingly. The new arm has two parts and continued in production until about 1960. This kit also has the correct 1st issue instructions showing the one piece arm. Molded in the correct high gloss silver and clear. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions, which are also as new.

MPM Avia Av-135 (B-135) Fighter - Bulgarian Imperial Air Force 1943, 1/48, 6001

Large 1/48 scale kit of a rare subject. The original prototype flew in September of 1938 but was destroyed in the same year. Prototype #2 flew in December of 1938 and included many refinements. Prototype number three flew after the German occupation in June of 1939. The design was successful and was reconstructed into the B-135 prototype and patterned for series production. Twelve machines were built for Bulgaria and were delivered in 1943. They did see action and one shot down a B-24 on March 30, 1944. The aircraft ended their careers as trainers after World War II. The kit features very high quality main vacuform airframe parts with fine recessed panel lines and all injection molded details. Vacuform part detail is better than many injection molded kits. Includes cockpit detail and clear vacuform canopy as well as a full painting guide, detailed full sized drawings and decals.

In the 1970s MPC released the very popular Profile Series. Inside each box was a quality Airfix kit but with special MPC decals to build any of the three aircraft shown on the box top. Well detailed kit for that time. Features many moving parts: turrets rotate and guns elevate, landing gear retracts/extends, wheels and props turn and all control surfaces move. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The decals are in 'excellent++' condition, which is rare.

Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. The model includes brilliant blue injection molded parts, clear parts, detailed chassis, complete engine, removable hood and full interior. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

SALE!! First issue from 1956 with Northern Lights logo and 69 cent price extension on the part number. This 'Northern Lights' Rectangular logo was used for this one year only - in 1957 the oval 'Famous Fighters' Sunburst logo was launched. The box features classic early Jim Cox artwork. This kit is one of a very successful line of 1/48 WWI aircraft that Aurora launched in 1956. The line sold so well that new kits were added into the 1960s. Molded in the correct gloss olive drab green and black. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
