1970s issue of the old 1940-50s kit. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, detailed full size plans, building instructions, hardware, wheels and canopy material (if required), tissue and propeller. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

First issue from 1960 with great hardbox artwork. The X-5 was the first aircraft to change the angle of wing sweepback in flight, and paved the way for the legendary F-111 and F-14. The model features variable sweep wings, retracting landing gear, detailed jet engine and movable control surfaces. Molded in white and clear and includes the famous Revell 'Globe' clear swivel base as well as a Master Modelers Stamp for this kit in 'excellent+' condition and the MMC application. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Still factory sealed. Very nice kit with cast metal body and body parts and injection molded details. Features detailed engine and engine compartment, opening hood, full interior with front seats that tilt forward, package tray speakers and CB radio, opening doors, optional 'T' top and opening trunk. The box says that the metal parts are already trimmed (no flash) and cleaned; it is advertised as ready to paint. This is a huge advantage if you are familiar with other metal kits.

First issue in a hardbox dated 1965 with very colorful box art. Large 25.5 inch long classic kit with motorized propeller drive, automatically rotating main turrets with elevating main guns, and can be programmed for straight, figure eight or circle sailing patterns. Includes electric motor and hardware. One of the nice things about this model is that it all works very nicely. NOTE: this kit has minor, neat assembly. The two bow halves have been glued to the hull ("professional" quality) and the hull has been airbrushed red below the waterline ("excellent" quality). There is no other assembly or painting. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts.

2004 issue from the original 1950s 'S' kit. Very well detailed kit with 83 parts. Features one piece hull, detailed deck and superstructure, 12.5cm cannon, 20mm twin anti-aircraft guns, life rafts, detailed masts, cargo booms, 15 very nicely molded landing craft, flag sheet and decals for the Montrose, Randall and full markings for the landing craft. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. The USS Montrose was on of 57 Haskell Class Attack Transports built for service in and immediately after WWII. The ships were designed to carry troops close to the beachheads, transfer them to landing barges (carried on board) and to supervise the landing operations. Her length was 455 feet and she could handle 1,560 troops and carry 3000 tons of equipment.

First issue hardbox from 1958 with classic box art. The models these are well detailed. The Dart includes four missiles, one launcher, three stands, decals, one optical guidance unit and a crew of three. The Little John includes a detailed launcher with elevating rails, movable support legs, decals and crew of three. Molded in the correct gloss dark olive drab and white. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Little John was a light-weight free-flight rocket that was highly mobile. It could be pulled on the launcher or transported by helicopter. Length was 12 feet long and the warhead was atomic. The Dart was a very early wire guided anti-tank missile with a solid propellant rocket motor. An optical rangefinder was used for guidance. It was 5 feet in length.

Features detailed V-8 engine & engine compartment, removable hood, full interior with optional parts, racing instruments, custom or stock bucket seats, optional shifters, fire extinguisher & steering wheels, stock boot (convertible top cover), custom and racing parts such as front roll pan, side exhaust, rear roll pan and custom grille, luggage rack, headlight guards and much more. Molded in white, clear, red tinted clear and chrome. With real rubber tires. The kit has never been started. The stock version is complete but NOTE the custom version is missing one tail light lens. Otherwise complete with all other parts, decals and instructions. Instructions and decals have minor bug damage. The Boeing 247 isoOften called the first 'Modern Airliner.' this successful plane was one the earliest transports with all metal construction, retractable landing gear, de-icers and controllable pitch props. Includes two types of windshields, rubber tires, optional position landing gear and struts. Has full interior detail for two ships: long-range tanks and accessories for Col. Turner's MacRobertson Race Entry, and complete passenger seat interior for United version. Colorful markings for UAL or the Racer shown on the cover. The decals are included only for HMS St. Albans as she appeared in November of 1982. Starfighter decals can provide excellent hull numbers in this scale if you wish to model another variant. This ship had a remarkable war history and very active career under four flags.
