Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. Purchased new on December 16, 1966 from Barns Hobby in Cleveland, Ohio. Quality scale rubber-powered flying model with stick and tissue construction. Highly prefabricated balsa kit that does not use tissue covering. Features all die-cut wings, fuselage sides, formers, tail surfaces and more, vacuform engine, finished wheels, plastic prop, thrust button and spinner, metal hardware and prop shaft, rubber motor, full decals and superb plans with excellent instructions. Never started and inventoried complete. Carl Goldberg was a gifted designer of model aircraft, and his career spanned the evolution of flying models. His designs and number of titles won in competition at the Nationals is legendary. His first competition was the 1928 Nationals, where he received honorable mention. By 1934 he won the indoor Nats and in 1935 he opened a Hobby Shop, among the first in the nation (the first one was probably opened by Cleveland Models Ed Packard). Awards came quickly. He wrote articles for Model Airplane News, and was Comet's top designer from 1939 till 1945. After Comet, he worked with Mike Schlesinger and Sid Axelrod on what eventually became Top-Flite Models. In 1955 he founded Carl Goldberg Models and released a still-popular line of scale, rubber, gas, glider and RC models. Needless to say, Goldberg's models are of the highest quality.

The actual model is the 2007 issue with all new tooling. Very well molded and highly detailed. All fine recessed panel lines. Includes decals for two of Bar's aircraft and one of Krebs aircraft. Comet Curtiss Robin - 22 inch Wingspan Balsa Flying Model Airplane, 3303-198

There are two versions of the Robin from Comet from this time period (1960s/70s) - this is the one with the larger 22 inch wingspan. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction with quality, die-cut balsa sheet parts, stripwood, fully formed wheels, spars and wood stock as required, fully formed wire landing gear, rubber motor, plastic prop, wood thrust button, decals, colored tissue and detailed, full-size plans and building instructions. Never started an complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Features all pre-carved or die-cut hardwood, plywood and balsa parts, step-by-step instructions, a large exploded view and color decals for Florida State Game Warden. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Revell 1917 Ford Model T - Pull-Toy with Backfire Action, 1/16

For the advanced Revell collector. Revell was a toy maker long before they teamed with Gowland & Gowland for the first Highway Pioneers series that revolutionized the hobby of mainstream model building. Revell's associated with Gowland went back to the pure toy days before injection molded models. One such creation in 1950 was a large scale 1/16 Maxwell automobile. The toy was a huge success. Then the Highway Pioneers took off...but Revell was not ready to give up on toys yet. In 1952 they issued a 1/16 scale counterpart to the Maxwell- this 1917 Model T Ford. It has a very unique features - when you pull the tow cord, it backfires! On the bottom is a cap gun style mechanism and the 'bang!' is made by real gunpowder from caps. The Ford is in perfect condition. There are no cracks, warps, missing parts or scratched paint. it is a little dirty, however. On the underside, the cap mechanism is as new and works flawlessly. The box is poor - it is tattered and missing the top. The instructions on both sides for the cap loading are still legible.

There is no assembly but NOTE: the interior parts have been neatly airbrushed zinc chromate green to 'professional' quality. There is no other painting and zero assembly. Very, very rare and especially in this condition - never used, internally sealed and with an 'excellent' condition box. From about 1963 and features incredible box art on a high-gloss box top. Large 1/21 scale model has a chassis nearly 11 inches long. Very realistic and loaded with operating features - about the only thing it does not do is shoot. Fully motorized with two large RE-36 electric motors working through an all-metal gear box with metal gears for full differential drive through a hand-held remote control unit which is included. The box top is in 'excellent' condition - it has beautiful color and gloss, four solid corners, no rips or tears, no fading, no repairs, no price tags and no tape other than the residue from the two short pieces of factory sealing tape. Flaws in include light, even general wear as shown. Inside, the kit has not been started and is still exactly as it left the factory. Every part that was factory sealed is still sealed in the factory bag with the correct M40 paper headers in 'excellent' or better condition. The parts that were not sealed (2 motors, hull top and bottom, tracks and remote control body) are complete and mint. Even the internal box reinforcement cardboard parts are present and the center tray is still factory stapled to the box bottom. Decals are still factory bag sealed and in amazing 'excellent+' condition. Even the treads are mint and flexible with no signs of the usual decay! The instructions are 'near mint.'

Very, very rare and even more so in this condition- never started and still factory sealed inside. From 1963 and with stunning artwork on a high-gloss box top.. An early and amazing Tamiya kit in big 1/21 scale that does almost everything but shoot. Features two big RE-36 electric motors, all metal gear box and gears and a hand-held remote control. The chassis alone measures almost 11 inches long. The box has exceptional color and gloss and is complete. All four corners are solid but there is a closed tear on one long side and there is light general wear as shown. There are no price tags and the only tape marks are from the two short pieces of factory sealing tape. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory. All the parts that were factory sealed are still factory sealed in clear bags and have 'near mint' condition paper M-4 headers. The parts that were not sealed (2 motors, hull top and bottom, tracks and remote control body) are complete and mint. Even the internal box reinforcement cardboard parts are present and the center tray is still factory stapled to the box bottom. Decals are still factory bag sealed and in amazing 'near mint' condition. Even the treads are mint and flexible with no signs of the usual decay! The instructions are 'near mint.'
