Aurora Customizing Monster Kit with The Vulture & Mad Dog - Original 1963 Issue, 1/8, 464-98

Rare first issue 'tall' hardbox kit from 1963. Unusual kit was issued as a add-on to the famous 'Monster' figure kits of the time. Contains vulture, mad dog, skull and rats. Molded in correct light gray plastic. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts and instructions in excellent condition.

Very rare original issue hardbox kit from 1964. The box is in 'Very Good++' condition with excellent color and gloss. All four corners are solid with no repairs. There is minimal edge wear and light corner wear. There are no tape or price tags and no tag or tape marks. There is no missing or torn litho. The box does have two creases - one in the upper left and a very light on in the upper right as well as a small one at the bottom left (see photo). Inside, the kit is molded in the correct odd purple-pink mix color. It has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts. The instructions are in 'Exc+' condition with the only flaw being the typical yellowing. Shipping insurance is required with this model.

Little is known of the Frontier Manufacturing Company other than the address of Hollywood, California and their line of high quality, early multi-media kits. Kits from this range include the Ox Cart, Buck Board, Covered Wagon, Stage Coach, Ranch Wagon, Chuck Wagon, Surrey With The Fringe On Top, Ore Wagon, Beer Wagon and Top Buggy.

2nd release of this classic Pre 'S' kit from 1954. Features the higher profile box (1.5" high) with great artwork. Inside the kit has the four piece stand and the revised instructions show the change from the short-lived three piece stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: the decal sheet is intact, but the stand decal has flaked off. The other decals are intact.

Hawk Mitsubishi Zero Fighter - Solid Wood Airplane Model, 1/48, 91

For the advanced Hawk collector. Hawk was one of the few manufacturers making wooden kits to a constant scale of 1/48 in the 1930s. Hawk kits were very complete and included metal details and superb quality drawings for the true scale enthusiast. This kit dates from early 1940s but still has the Hawk product line of railroad, airplane and ship models described on the box side. The model contains profile precarved wooden main fuselage, wings, rudder and elevator, turned cowling, metal propeller, wooden stock as needed, pre-carved wheels, metal propeller, color insignia and full size well-detailed plans as well as a optional page on how an aircraft words. The model has not been started and is complete.

Pyro 1909 Lozier Briarcliff - Bagged, 1/32, C455

Bagged kit - no box. The box is shown for reference only. 1967 Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Lozier was a large four cylinder T-Head rated at 45 horsepower. The wheelbase was 124 inches and she road on huge 36 x 4.5 tires. This Pyro car model is based on a car that was owned by Thomas J Lester of Chargin Falls, Ohio that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. The model includes rubber tires, brass plated parts, white injection molded parts and clear parts. Features detailed chassis, complete motor and interior and a removable hood or 'bonnet'. NOTE: the gas tank halves are assembled. Quality of assembly is 'excellent' with no gaps and no visible glue. There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions.

Hawk Spad C-13 - Picture Gallery Issue, 1/48, 705-69

Hard-to-find kit from the mid 1950s. The 'Picture Galley' issues had a colorful but short life. When Hawk moved from wooden kits to injection molded kits, they utilized the one piece 'flip top' boxes with one or two color printing. Sales were initially poor. Realizing that more color was needed, they went to the 'hardbox' design, which was medium weight cardboard with a colorful litho 'slick' glued to it. The litho slick allowed more colors to be used, so Hawk sought out an artist who began painting Hawk's first hardbox artwork - the Picture Gallery. After a short period of time, however, the artist became ill- hence the short production run. Artist Bill Campbell was contracted to fill his shoes. Hawk was so happy that Bill was used from that point on with other artists as well. Molded in gloss yellow with a brown pilot. Includes early correct decals and correct instructions showing the slightly different part design that was utilized at this stage. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag with including decals and instructions. Box is graded 'good' because there is insect litho damage to to the box sides.

The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing #12 canopy support (required only for the canopy in the raised position). This part can be easily made form part #13, which is present and not used in the B/N variant kit. Some parts that are not required for the kits are missing; but all other parts required for the B/N kit are included. With decals and instructions.

The kit itself features hardwood factory cut keel and bulkheads. Includes full size plans, detailed instructions, 5 spools of rigging material, metal nails for planking the hull, round wood stock for masts, tapered wood stock for yards, hardwood decks, planking and other print wood parts, many other sheets of printwood, sail cloth, colorful, factory decorated plastic shields and more. NOTE: the main deck has been cut out of the printwood sheet. Quality of assembly is professional. The cuts are just outside of the dotted lines so there is no danger of it being too small. There no assembly - just this one part cut out. The kit is complete with all parts and paperwork.
