The Mikoyan-Gurievich I-270 interceptor was developed in 1946 and based on German Me263 rocket-powered technology. Two prototypes were built but both were lost during the evaluation program. However, this small bullet-like aircraft paved the way for future high-performance MiG designs. Build the ultimate I-19 in this scale! Includes AFV Club #AFVG35023 I-19 Detail Set which consists of an amazing real wood laser-cut deck and a large fret of brass PE parts. Never used and complete with all parts and instructions. The actual model is a superb kit from all new tooling. Features full hull or waterline build, PE details and railings, Glen seaplane molded in clear plastic and much more. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The I-19 is famous for firing history's most successful torpedo spread off Guadalcanal. On September 14, 1942, the I-19 was patrolling of the Solomons when she fired a 6 torpedo spread. Three hit and sank the US Carrier CV-7 WASP, and the remaining three exploded against the BB North Carolina and the destroyer O'Brien. The destroyer sank and the North Carolina had to be repaired at Pearl till November 16, 1942. The I-19's Glen seaplane also flew night reconnaissance on February 23, 1942 over Pearl Harbor for the planned second attack by Emily flying boats on that base.

Still factory sealed. 1969 issue. The Yorktown was one of three prewar sister carriers along with Enterprise (CV-6) and Hornet (CV-8). The Yorktown saw extensive action in the Coral Sea, the first sea battle in which opposing forces did not sight each other from warships. At Midway she fought alongside Enterprise and Hornet to help sink 4 Japanese carriers, but was lost after the battle after an epic struggle to save the ship. Very nicely molded model. Features internal hangar deck that is visible through side hangar doors after assembly, 20 Douglas SBD Dauntless airwing with decals (well molded with raised panel lines and propellers), 20" long full hull, movable cranes, separately molded AA guns and catwalks and optional position elevators. The box art shows the prewar high-vis finish, and decals are included for prewar markings for the ship and aircraft.

Still factory sealed but the seal has splits. Dated 1969 and has classic box artwork. CV-6 has a combat record unequaled in the history of the US Navy and is considered the most "Successful Warship in History." Her totals were as follows: 20 Battle Stars, 911 Aircraft Destroyed and 71 Ships Sunk. She took part in almost every major action of the Pacific war from 1941 to 1945. The fascinating history of this ship is told by Commander Edward P. Stafford, USN, in his legendary book "The Big E - The Story of the USS Enterprise." The kit is over 20 inches long and includes a one piece hull, propeller and rudder detail, SBD scout-bombers, moving cranes and complete decals and flags.

First and only issue from 1957. Difficult to find in this condition. The hardbox grades 'Excellent++' with wonderful color and gloss, absolutely no tape or price tags or residue and four solid corners. Hard to find scale kit of the Snark, tow tractor, launcher and crew of four. Launch pad has wheels that rotate and the launcher can be realistically moved from the transport to the launch configuration. Molded in the correct beautiful gloss red and yellow-orange. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

The decals include colorful markings for VF-11 Sundowners from the USS Coral Sea (1971), USAF 4th TFS Vietnam and Thunderbirds Aircraft #1.

From about 1963 and one of the rare accessories for customizing Monogram's large 1/8 cars or any other large-scale kit. Includes one pair of factory-fresh, mint condition and never used Racemaster Dragster 8.00-15 M&H Tire Company, Watertown Mass, black sidewall tires molded in a rubber-like, hollow and flexible plastic. In an attempt to make the superb but very expensive 1/8 car molds pay off, Monogram issued some parts separately as accessories for any larger car models. The entire line came out in 1963 and consisted of AK201-59 Six Carb Assembly, AK202-59 Oval Gas Tank, AK203-79 Drag Race Set, AK204-79 GMC Blower Set, AK205-79 Chrome Wheel Set, AK206-100 White Wall Drag Slicks and AK207-79 White Wall Tires. Sales were very weak because all of the 1/8 scale car kits were very expensive for that time, so and the line was discontinued.

Still factory sealed but the seal has split at the left side. 1969 two-piece box issue utilizing the original Ray Gaedke artwork from the 1950s issue. Very nicely molded kit. Includes rigging photos for wire placement. Please note that although the instructions show special short 'spreader bars' to use with wing rigging, they did not provide them. Round stock plastic, a short piece of wire or pulled sprue works perfectly. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'.
