1955 issue with great box art. This was Monogram's 8th plastic aircraft kit and sported the fine fit and finish that they soon became famous for. This model has the black rubber tires is the second issue; the only difference from the first issue is the "PA" vs. "P" part number. Features rotating propellers, optional retracted or 'landing' position floats, two torpedoes and two crew members. Molded in medium blue and clear with the black rubber tires. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. It even includes the original factory tissue packing paper. Please NOTE that the box would grade slightly higher but it rated as 'very good+' because there are two tape tears on the lower long box side.

Large-scale and well detailed model from the early 1970s. Can be flown rubber free flight, gas free flight or converted to electric R/C with modern servos and receivers. Features scale plastic wheels, plastic propeller, plastic nose cowl, plastic radial engine, full decals, covering tissue, die cut balsa parts, rubber motor, plywood firewall and more. With excellent full size plans. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.

Rare 1975 Japan issue with unique and beautiful box artwork. As with most Japan issues, this one contains extra features including decals for two aircraft and a large, full color painting on the front of the instructions. Older but nicely detailed, large-scale model of this British night fighter with airborne interception radar. The Beaufighter was flown by aces such like Flt./Lt. "Cat's Eyes" Cunningham, whose markings are included. His final score stood at 20 victories and his aircraft is one that can be depicted in this model. This model features detailed Bristol Hercules engines, removable cowling, two flight crew, optional position landing gear, full crew cockpits and radar antenna. The kit has never been started. The small parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags; the large parts are not sealed and have been inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. My friend and model builder Stephen Payne high recommends that the purchaser of any Beaufighter Night Fighter model invests in a copy of the book "Night Fighter" by C.F. Rawnsley. Rawnsley was John Cunningham's Airborne Intercept radar operator throughout WWII in both Beaufighters and Mosquitoes. The book is the story of their time and combat together and makes excellent reading.

Rare 1960s Type Three Logo issue of the Military Version of the Type B Civil bus. During WWI, the British pressed these London buses into military service with modifications, the most obvious being the boarded-up sides. Quite a number were shipped overseas. They were used at Flanders as troop transports and ambulances. Airfix had access to 'Ole Bill,' which still exists and was representative of the buses sent to Flanders. Airfix took the already well detailed Type B Bus kit and added a big sheet of completely colored and decorated 'wood' sides & badges and 6 detailed military figures with accessories. Includes green side panels, military driver and troops, over 100 parts, complete interior and dashboard, suspension, exhaust and drive line detail and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes side panels instructions.
