West Side Model Co Brass HOn3 Class, 1/87

Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

Beautiful, like-new condition brass narrow gauge locomotive, hand-built in Japan by the renown Nakamura Seimisu K.K. (marketed in the USA as Westside Models). It is still wrapped in the original plastic and all three pieces of the factory foam are intact and in excellent condition. This one-owner model has always been carefully stored in the original box. There is the slightest bit of wheel wear at 14x magnification, so it appears it was test run at one point but nothing more. I see no broken parts and no modifications; it looks factory-new. However, most of these came with a small firebox cover for the inside of the cab; this one does not have one. I have no narrow gauge track, so I am unable to test the locomotive, so it is sold "As Is." There is no paperwork present.

Megow Rearwin Speedster - 30 Inch Wingspan Flying Aircraft, 1/13, J9

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair

Rare wartime issue from about 1943 and an ideal builder. Large scale (1/12.8) flying model has stick and tissue construction. Features quality balsa printwood, spars and stringers, fully formed wheels, metal stock as required, pre-carved prop, rubber motor, sealed envelope of small parts, two colors of tissue and very nice full size plans. Aurora Focke-Wulf Fw-190 Famous Fighters of All Nations, 1/48, 30A-69

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

Sold

Rare kit and even rarer in investment-grade 'Near Mint' box condition like this example. The box is exceptional with four solid corners, no stains, no fading, no price tags or tape (except one tape mark from the thin factory sealing tape), no tears and no litho damage. The only flaws very slight surface and corner wear. Likely the 2nd issue of this kit. The first issue had the landing gear, etc but had swastikas on the tail and decals. This version has the iron crosses. Dates from the mid 1950s (probably 1954/55) with small 'Aurora Line' rectangular logo and 'Famous Fighters of All Nations'. Molded in correct gloss black and clear with rectangular clear two-piece stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Instructions are 'excellent++' with yellowing as the only flaw. Decals are 'good++' with typical yellowing and a slight curl (not rolled up, but curled into a 1/2 circle.

The third issue is identical except for a 79 cent extension. The box is in exceptional condition. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Aurora F8U-1 Crusader (F-8) - (F8U1), 1/48, 119-98

Box is exceptional with no significant flaws and brilliant colors. Model has many interesting features including retracting landing gear, removable tail section and jet engine. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts in the correct high-gloss early issue light grey. Correct 1st issue large rectangular stand and decal sheet.
