AGA Sokol Polish Navy (U-Class) Submarine, 1/400, 1403

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

Solol and her sister Dzik were the first submarines delivered to the Polish Navy once WWII began. By Feburary of 1941 Sokol was patrolling the Bay of Biscay. The Dzik was delivered on October 11, 1942 and entered service very quickly. Both of these ships achieved significant success in the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas, where they destroyed several enemy ships. Both subs outlasted the war and were returned to England. The Sokol was broken up in 1949 and the Dzik was lent to the Danish Navy in 1946. Her active service ended in 1957 and she was broken up in 1958. Very nicely molded and detailed but certainly not a 'state of the art' Tamiya style kit. Features full hull with propellers and rudder, display stand, color paint guide for two different paint schemes on the back of the box with rigging diagram and full decals for either scheme with flags. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

The model includes chrome plated, colored and clear parts. Features detailed chassis with suspension, steering linkage and gas tank, spoked wheels, complete motor and interior, dual rear mount spares and a removable hood.NOTE: the kit has minor assembly. AMT 1954 Plymouth Suburban 2 Door Station Wagon Friction Drive Promo, 1/25

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Original dealer promotional model with a working friction drive motor. Like all originals, it has a natural aluminum metal chassis with no markings. AMT is simply my guess for the manufacture, although it looks like an AMT chassis. Body color and gloss is very, very good. This is a celluloid plastic body, but it is very straight; there is only slight warping, but it is better than 95% of the survivors. The tires show no signs of wear and it has clearly never been played with. The windshield is also very nice and is factory-tinted, but it needs cleaned. I would grade this one a 8.5 out of 10 with the deductions going to light general wear and the slight body warp. The box is not original.

Monogram B-52 Stratofortress with Jet Sound Vietnam Camouflage Issue, 1/72, PA215

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

Sold

Rare 1969 issue has Vietnam-style boxart on a high-gloss box. This is the 2nd release of this kit and the last with rare 'Jet Sound.' These models were designed with a major selling point - an internal parts display that could be seen by potential modelers at the store. The display showed major parts of the kit. Inside, all cardboard presentation is still mint and even includes the tissue packing paper. At this point (1969), Monogram had ceased making 'Monoglue', so the B-52 presentation cardboard either had another brand factory-installed (Testors was common) or had a empty spot for glue. Contains 207 parts. Very nicely detailed. Features crew of three, detailed cockpit, elevating and traversing rear turret, opening and closing bomb bay doors, operating wing flaps, operating spoilers, optional position entry hatch and landing gear, and optional parts to display one nacelle open to show the jet engine and of course battery-powered realistic Jet Sound. It has never been started. Inventoried with all parts, 'excellent++' decals, instructions, B-52 booklet and Jet Sound supplement instructions present. Please NOTE that box displays better than the 'good++' rating but I graded it as such because there is tape residue on the bottom of the four side panels.
