From the mid 1960s. 17 inch wingspan kit for rubber free flight or control line. Features an innovative system for dropping leaflets in flight. Includes quality die-cut balsa sheet parts, strip wood and spars, light plastic full engine cowl and other parts, die-cut clear windscreen, fully formed wire landing gear struts, finished main and tail wheels, rubber motor and plastic prop, covering tissue, a big sheet of full color decal and full size plans with excellent instructions. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete. Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I always considered Sterling kits to be deluxe kits compared to other manufacturers.

From the early 1950s. Comet advertises that the Struct-O-Speed series 'Puts Itself Together...That Quick!' on the box top. These kits were very highly prefabricated for their time, and in comparison to the regular stick and tissue models, the claim is not unfounded. Features three sheets of die-cut balsa wood main parts, 13 inch wingspan, finished wooden wheels, rubber motor, plastic prop and bushing (although the instructions show a balsa prop),paper insignia and full plans/instructions. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and excellent plans. Die-cut wooden parts have not been punched out and are intact in the sheets.

But on these kits he cut the sprue (trees) with the part numbers still attached to each number, so the parts are loose. Because of that, I have not inventoried these kits. NOTE: he built minor sub assemblies (cockpit tubs, wing halves, etc) to 'professional' quality. He also almost always removed the displays stands. Again, these kits are sold not inventoried and AS IS hence the very low price. Please note that the Tempest and Typhoon kits were originally bagged, he re-boxed them into Frog 'Red Series' boxes from other kits and pasted the header to the box top. The Typhoon has photocopied instructions.

From high quality Frog molds. Very large scale, well-detailed full-hull model. Never started. The main tree was sealed at the factory and is still factory sealed. The few large parts and the clear & black tree were never factory sealed and have been inventoried complete. Includes decals, flag sheet and instructions. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.
