Features traditional stick and tissue construction, color insignia, fully finished wood wheels, rubber motor, hardware, tissue, plastic propeller and detailed full size plans/instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Kit descriptions: rare model from 1973. The near-1/72 scale Airfix SAM-2 missile is very nicely detailed and features the truck, missile trailer, launcher and missile. The missile can be set on the launcher (and attached to the truck if you wish), or can be set up on the elevating and rotating launcher.

1960s release with an 'excellent++' condition box. Unusual issue has incredible box art and contains both kits - a very nicely detailed LCM and M4. Sherman features flexible treads, detailed bogies and rotating turret. LCM includes full interior, pilot house and figure, opening front gate, prop and rudder detail and two additional crewmen. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Both decals and instructions are in 'excellent++' condition with slight yellowing as the only flaw. NOTE: one side panel of the LCM has tread burns. 98% of the burns are on the inside wall only. These burns are significant and filler will be required to smooth the wall out.
