Guillows Hawker Typhoon Mk1B. - 18 inch Wingspan Rubber Powered Flying Model, 906

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

Sold

Roughly 1980s scale stick and tissue rubber powered flying model. Includes die cut balsa parts, vacuform nose/spinner, wheels, plastic propeller, hardware, vacuform canopy, colored tissue, insignia and full size plans with detailed building instructions. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions/plans present. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.

Very rare. Large 1/28 scale motorized kit with many working features. A factory-assembled metal gear box with nylon gears is driven by a common FA-130 motor. Factory glue is included as well as all running hardware and lights. Please note that KSN did not furnish the motor with the kit. Features hidden battery compartment (where the real engine would be), moving rudder, elevator, ailerons and wing flaps and an opening canopy. The kit has never been started and is complete. Inside it is just as it left the factory. The small parts, gearbox, lights and glue are still factory sealed. The plastic parts that were factory sealed are still sealed in the original clear bags; the few large parts that were never sealed are inventoried compete. The checkerboard cardboard presentation material and large full-color card showing aircraft and famous pilots is in very good condition. Includes instructions and decals in 'very good++' condition. The box is 100% complete with four solid corners and no repairs or tape. But it does have significant general wear as shown and discoloration, hence the 'good' grade. Monogram Missile Mobile Regulus II / Bomarc / Rascal / Matador / Atlas / Snark, 1/128, PD43-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Very rare kit from 1959 and the first and only issue. When Monogram released the 'US Missile Arsenal-31 Missiles,' the sales were not as expected; interest in missile models quickly peaked then dropped of rapidly. So they soon devised a way to get more utility out of the molds. This happened in two ways. The first was the Missile "Bags" and then this Missile Mobile. The mobile is quite large; it measures 18 inches deep and 24 inches across. The Regulus II, Bomarc, Rascal, Matador, Atlas and Snark all hang from heavy printed cardboard cloud cutouts. The missiles are molded in color so painting was not required. The model has not been started. The kit has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals, 'clouds,' rigging thread (on the original holder) and instructions. The clouds are still in the sheet and not punched out. The decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition. NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

Aurora Piper Cherokee 180, 1/72, 281-70

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

1968 issue of the very popular Piper light aircraft. After Aurora purchased the Comet molds, they reissued the Comet civil light aircraft line. Since the kit was designed new, it has significantly more detail than the older Comet kits. Features all recessed panel lines, full interior with a sofa, two seats and instrument panel, clear windows and rotating propeller. NOTE: this kit has 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: seats and instrument panel glued to the floor. There is no other assembly. Inventoried with all parts present and includes decals and instructions.
