2009 reissue of this famous kit from the original 1959 molds. This is a large and highly detailed 22 inch long operating model. The armored launching unit actually deploys the bridge or stores it for travel, the drive sprockets rotate with flexible tracks, the gun turrets rotate, guns elevate, hatch covers open and close and includes crew of four soldiers. The Type XXI U-Boats were the world's first true submarines; they could travel at high speeds for great distances underwater and attack without visual contact with the targets. The 'snort' allowed them to recharge the batteries and renew the air, eliminating the last needs for surfacing. A development of the Walther Peroxide Boats, the XXIs were seen as a faster way to put a more advanced submarine into service.

Originally designed as a fighter, the Toryu (Dragon Slayer) was used to oppose B-29 raids. The kit has never been started. Features opening hood, detailed engine and transmission, Goodyear Custom wide tread tires on Cragar Mach 8 Wheels, full interior and detailed chassis and suspension. Molded in chrome plate, blue, clear and with black tires. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. NOTE: the chrome windshield frame is broken but both parts are there so you can repair it (which is best done by gluing it around the clear windshield).
