Very Rare. Nichimo was founded in 1951 and was a very famous Japanese kit manufacturer both at home and around the world. This model dates from the late 1950s or very early 1960s and is part of an extensive and sought-after 1/500 scale IJN Warship Series with expensive glossy box art from the 'Golden Age' of Japanese model kit illustrations. The model can built for motorized operation in water or static with waterline or full hull display. Well detailed and molded for that time, it features all hardware for motorizing, a steel and brass gear box for dual-propeller drive, switch, wire, universal joints, brass batter contacts, metal shafts, an original Mabuchi FA13 still in the original colorful box, one piece lower hull (molded in a realistic IJN 'Hull Red'), one piece upper hull (molded in gray), detailed deck and superstructure, rotating main turrets and separately molded secondary battery and AA guns, catapults, floatplanes and more. Never started. The plastic parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags; the hardware bag is open and inventoried complete. Includes instructions, silver and gold foil-covered cardboard name plate and internal packing display 'band.' Please note that Nichimo did not supply decals with this issue. Please note that the box would display slightly better than the 'good+' rating, but is graded as such because there is a closed tear at the center of the right short side. It has been very neatly and correct repaired from the inside with light weight cardstock and book binding glue.

In the mid 1960s, the Frog decided to use one box for all of the 'Orange' Series large-scale jet bombers. There are illustrations of the Vulcan and Valiant on the front and the Victor and Canberra on the back. Since the artwork was always the same, the only way to tell what kit was inside was to read the large sicker affixed to the short side panel. This one contains the 1/72 Canberra. Never started. Excellent model from 2000 that builds the skeletal inner structure of a Nieuport 28. Features over 190 laser cut hardwood (basswood, birch and plywood) parts, over 200 Britannia metal, copper, aluminum, steel, brass and rubber parts and over 50 Britannia metal castings for the Gnome-Rhone Type 9N rotary engine complete with all cylinders, distributor, spark plugs and crankcase. Details other than the engine (which is a kit to itself) include turnbuckles, guy wires, compression bar, pulleys, wire support brackets, struts, flight instruments, tires and much more. Includes three sheets of full size plans and very detailed instructions. Completed wingspan is 20 inches. Never started. 1956 original issue 'S' kit. It is easy to see why the Revell kits of the 1950s are considered the apex of box artwork. Molded in correct gloss gray, with the famous clear, round Revell 'Globe' stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Instructions and decals are 'excellent' and flat with slight age yellowing as the only significant flaw. The box has factory-new color and gloss, four solid corners (and no repairs), no tape marks (other than the factory sealing tape), no tags, tag pulls or marks, and no tears. Flaws include very light and isolated edge and corner wear as shown and more edge wear on the bottom of the two short side panels. The box is certainly not perfect but in a highly displayable condition.

Rare. From 1956 and this is the true first issue due to the 98 cent price extension on the part number. This gift set featured all four aircraft in the originally-molded vivid colors as well the R3C-1 with landing gear (shortly after this, the molds were modified to make it a floatplane). The Gee Bee is molded in bright gloss red, the Laird Solution in a gloss antique gold, the Ike in bright white and the R3C-1 in brilliant yellow. Inside, everything is just like it left the factory. The kits have not been started. All four are still sealed in the original stapled bags. Includes special one-piece instruction sheet and correct one-piece decal sheet.
