Original issue Revell 'S' hardbox kit from 1956. Highly detailed and well molded model. Features deck guns, all masts and booms, barges and landing craft. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried with all parts and instructions. NOTE: missing decals. The USS Randall was on of 57 Haskell Class Attack Transports built for service in and immediately after WWII. The ships were designed to carry troops close to the beachheads, transfer them to landing barges (carried on board) and to supervise the landing operations. Her length was 455 feet and she could handle 1,560 troops and carry 3000 tons of equipment. Through her colorful career she earned many awards. She had to tours in the Pacific including Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After the war she took part in 'Magic Carpet'. Her Hollywood career was in the movie 'Away All Boats' in which she played the Belinda'.

Very large 34 inch long wooden ship kit. Features a beautiful hardwood pre-carved hull, assorted hardwood stock, tapered masts and yards, extensive metal fittings, rigging material, three very large full size plan sheets, instructions and more. The kit has never been started and is still in the original factory cardboard shipping box. It is complete. The Flying Fish was the fourth clipper from the famous Mr. McKay, who designed the Stag Hound, Flying Cloud and Staffordshire.

Very rare factory sealed kit for the advanced Aurora collector. The model came from the first owner of the kit who bought it new. In those days, Aurora sealed kits with two very thin strips of tape on the box top sides extending to the bottom of the box. This box still has those two tape seals intact. The box condition is excellent with like new color and gloss and no price tags. Second issue of this classic kit. Although dated 1956, this kit is from 1957/58 and carries the then-new oval sunburst with 'Famous Fighters' in the boarder. In keeping with a quick and inexpensive change over, the box utilizes the 1956 artwork, but yellows out the 'Northern Lights' rectangle and adds the new oval.
