Sold

Still factory sealed but the seal has drawn the box concave. Has markings for three aircraft; two from the carrier IJN Akitsu Maru in 1944 and one from an unknown unit in Japan. Well molded kit with photoetched parts. The Stella was a STOL aircraft much in the sense of the Fi-156, but it's performance was superior in every way. Horsepower was almost 30% greater and fowler flaps were fitted and synchronized with variable incidence horizontal tail surfaces for dramatic STOL performance. The ship was easy to fly and found favor in all theaters as a communications aircraft. In 1942 7 Stella were placed on the Akitsu Maru and used as ASW aircraft.

Hardbox issue dated 1957 but probably from the early 1960s since the oval Aurora logo does not have 'Famous Fighters' in the outline. Small scale kit with dramatic Jo Kotula box artwork. Nicely molded kit with clear canopy, full landing gear and display stand. This is a model of the very early YF-102 prototype with the straight (non-area rule) fuselage. Around this time, Aurora issued a series of inexpensive (usually 29 cent) small scale kits that were designed to sell at almost any type of retail location. Wagon Masters Ranch Wagon - From American History - Scale Wood / Metal / Plastic Kit, 105

Multimedia Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair+

Sold

Very nicely done kit from the late 1950s or early 1960s. Features very good scale details for it's time. Measures 8 inches long when assembled (wagon only) or 14 inches long (wagon and tongue). Kit consists of California redwood and sugar pine wooden parts all completely cut to shape, excellent injection molded front and rear wagon wheel and metal stock as needed. Features metal sprung seat, full underside detail with axles, brakes, hound, steps and step supports, double tree and single trees, hand brake and tongue with neck yolk. Builder kit only - NOTE: the kit has minor assembly. The wagon box has been built. Quality of assembly is excellent. There is no other assembly. Missing one part: the underside reach. I have included a actual size pattern for this part as it can easily be made from flat wood stock. Inventoried with all other parts and instructions. Instructions have bug damage but are still usable. Wagon Masters was out of 12551 Telegraph Rd, Sante Fe Springs, California. No zip code was listed, so the kits are definitely pre 1964. Wagon Masters had a ambitious line of wagons done in hardwood and metal; some had plastic details. Kit in the series included kit #100 Covered Wagon, #101 Conestoga Wagon, #103 Stage Coach, #102 Buckboard, #104 Ore Wagon (with genuine copper ore), #105 Ranch Wagon, #1-6 Chuck Wagon, Yellowstone Wagon, Jerkey Wagon, Sheepherder's Wagon, Drummers' Wagon, #950 Horse Team, #951 Mule Team and #952 Ox Team. All kits were done in the same scale, but the scale was not listed. Other kits may have been issued. In the mid 1960s it appears that the entire line was sold to CraftMaster. CraftMaster put their stickers on some of the later model Wagon Master boxes before converting over to all CraftMaster artwork.
