Rare kit for the advanced collector. This is Monogram's fifth ship kit, issued in 1946. Measures 14 inches long when assembled. The hull and lower deck are pre-carved wood. The rest of the kit is printwood, wood and metal stock and cardstock. The air wing includes F6F Hellcats and TBF Avengers. The kit has never been started and is complete with all parts, full size instructions and even sandpaper. NOTE: although the kit has not been started, the hull templates have been cut from the cardstock sheet. They are present and neatly cut.

Very rare early Monogram kit from 1945. This is Monogram's second military ship kit in a series of five - a battleship, carrier, cruiser and landing craft. The kit features a carved balsa hull, color decals, printwood in two sizes, metal life rafts, cardstock and full size plans with complete instructions. I have seen this model built and it is a beautiful large-scale representation of the ship. Measures 16 inches long when built. The kit has never been started. The inside is like new and even includes the cardboard display divider and original sandpaper. Complete with all parts, decals and instructions/plans.

Very hard-to-find kit dated 1961. Hardbox features beautiful John Steel framable box art titled 'Victory Off Cherbourg,' site of the Kearsarge's famous duel with the Confederate ship Alabama off the coast of France. Very large 1/96 scale ship that measures 34.5 inches long when assembled. Very highly detailed and well molded. Features pre-formed ratlines, two position gun ports, guns that turn and elevate, movable propeller, special stand, name plate and 20 action figures. Inside the kit has never been started and is as it left the factory. All small parts are still sealed in the factory bags. Only the hull halves were not sealed and they are present. Complete with two types of rigging material, metal chains, rat lines, Kearsarge history booklet, rat line cutting pattern, instructions, rigging diagrams and flag sheet. Please note, this kit does not have the factory painted hull.
