Rare, very high quality waterline kit of the Akagi in the three-deck configuration. Features superbly cast resin hull and deck sections, three large trees of injection molded details, numerous cast metal details and precision cast metal biplane torpedo bombers and biplane fighters. There are extensive decals for the air wing and the ship The kit has never been started. Almost all parts are still in the factory sealed bags. The few large parts that are not internally sealed have been inventoried complete, including decals and instructions. The initial idea for Akagi was to make three decks to speed up the take-off and landing of aircraft. It worked initially, but by 1935 the lower two decks were not long enough for the heavier aircraft. At that point Akagi was reconstructed to a single deck configuration.

SALE! Classic late 1950/early 1960 kit by Pyro Plastics of Union, NJ. The kit consists of a 'Design-A-Matic' Slide Computer ('Validated by Remington Rand Univac Division'), a series of aircraft fuselage, nose and tail cone sections as well as canopies, different styles of wings, rudders and elevators (all very roughly 1/48 scale), two stands, landing gear and reusable insignia stickers (CCCP, USA, RAF and France) and full instructions. With the instructions and computer you can build one of over 4000 variations of jet fighter designs. The parts are snap together so they can be used again and again. This issue has the great internal cardboard presentation parts. The kit has not been started. Includes all parts, computer, instructions and sticker sheet. A few of the stickers look to be have been taken off and neatly put back on the sheet - none are missing. The Design-A-Plane kit was one of a series of design kits, including the Design-A-Car, Design-A-House and the Design-A-House Master Set.

Rare. 1976 issue with incredible Jack Leynnwood artwork. Full hull model measures 19 7/8 inches long when built and features elevating main guns, rotating turrets and crane, two helicopters and more. Revell did take the time to make changes to this model to reflect the actual Iowa; they eliminated the catapults, changed the rear funnel mast and radar, added the two whirly-birds and of course made 'IOWA' name and hull number decals. NOTE: this kit has minor assembly. The aft radar has been glued to the aft mast. There is no other assembly and quality of assembly is 'very good+.' Inventoried 100% complete including decals, flag sheet and instructions.
