Despatch No.9 was built by the Tampa Marine Corporation in Florida in 1945 for the fleet of tugs operated by Standard Oil of California in Sacramento Bay and the San Joaquin River.

1977 Revell Takara Japan issue with high-gloss box art only seen on this release. Like most of Revell Japan kits, it has special features. First, there is greatly expanded decal sheet and paint guide that covers 3 French aircraft from different colorful squadrons in 1916 and 1917; there is also a section entitled 'More Modeling' which includes paint guides for (2) different 1916 aircraft.
