Still the only injection molded, 1/72 scale model of the very first Bf-109. The model features very fine recessed panel lines, many brass PE details, film instruments, very good cockpit, fully enclosed wheel wells and more. Includes four-view paint guide and decals for two different paint schemes for prototype V-1 - Rechlin Test Center D-IABA Autumn 1935 and Summer 1935. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Only 15 months after Willy Messerschmitt designed the aircraft, the first Bf-109 (D-IABI) was ready to fly. The pilot was Flugkapitan Hans Knoetzsch. The prototype did not have an automatic retraction mechanism, so Knoetasch had to wind the landing gear up manually. he stayed airborne for 20 minutes and made several circuits of the airfield. In his opinion, the Bf-109 V-1 had perfect handling qualities. The first '109 was born - six months before the Hawker Hurricane and 10 months before the Supermarine Spitfire. The V-1 was fitting with a Rolls-Royce Kestrel V engine that produced 695 hp for take off and a Schwarz two-bladed fixed-pitch wooden propeller.

Thanks to Jean-Claude who told me that the boxart shows a standard F-84F but in reality the model inside is of prototype YF-96A, (aka YF-84F), s/n 49-2430. this aircraft was later modified to become the YRF-84F parasite fighter in combination with GRB-36F.It is on display at the USAF Museum, Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio.

Very rare, and even rarer in investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. Tamiya's early armor models were the finest works of the mold maker's art and the very top of that line had push-button remote control and dual electric motor operation. This is one of those kits. The box has great color and gloss, four solid corners and general light wear as the only flaws. It features excellent detail and mold quality, a factory assembled all-metal gear box with dual electric motor drive for realistic differential steering control, all hardware, a factory wired/soldered switch, hand-held remote and working treads that are still 100% intact and flexible. The kit has never been started. Inside, it is exactly as it left the factory. All of the parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The few larger parts that were never sealed are inventoried complete. With full color painting guide in 'excellent' condition and 'near mint' instructions. The decals are still factory sealed and are in 'excellent+' condition. Please note, this kit must be shipped insured.

1967 Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. The model includes rubber tires, brass plated parts, colored injection molded parts and clear parts. Features detailed chassis, complete motor and interior and a removable hood or 'bonnet.' This kit has not been started. The parts have been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.
