Nicely molded with very fine raised panel line detail and recessed control surfaces and doors. The box has great color, four solid corners, no price tags and the only tape is the remains of the factory sealing tape. The box has a pencil point closed hole and a 1.5 inch closed tear on the upper long side panel. There is general shelf wear and light stains which are visible on the box top. Inside, the special cardboard side housing is still held in place with the original staples and contains an unopened tube of colorful Frog cement and a glass vial of white paint with the factory cork. The paint and glue are still good. The decals have not rolled and are in 'very good' condition. The instructions are excellent with light yellowing and have no tears or writing. The kit is molded in the correct gloss silver and clear plastic with a large dark blue stand. The kit has never been started and has been inventoried complete with all parts, decals, instructions, glue and paint. The propellers are on the original cardboard holder and the blades are not broken. Shipping insurance is required on this model.

Rare 1955 kit. In investment-grade 'NM' condition with the box color and gloss as good as new. All four corners are solid and there are no repairs. The original price tag is intact on one short side and there are no other tags, tape or tape marks. The only flaw is a tiny bit of corner and general wear. This kit features some of my favorite box artwork by Scott Eidson. Very highly detailed model includes coach, horses and figures as shown on the box art. Inside, the kit has never been started and is inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and excellent building instructions. Although it is opened, the original factory clear plastic bag is included also. 'Miniature Masterpieces' was formed through an alliance of Lou Glasser (Revell) and Steve Adams (Adams Action Models) in 1953. Although the molds were made at Adams and it had the appearance of an independent company, the firm was run by Revell down to the prototypes being made at the Revell plant. Originally there was no evidence of the parent company on the surface. The State Coach of England was the first kit, issued in 1953. More kits of excellent quality followed. Revell completely took over the line in 1954 and in that year and the next, kits were labeled 'Revell' with a 'Miniature Masterpiece' label on the box top also.

Aurora Messerschmitt Me-109 (Bf-109) - Blue Box Ends- Famous Fighters of All Nations, 1/48, 55A-69

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM-

$325

I believe this is the 4th edition of this kit, and the first issue with this Jim Cox boxart. Dates from mid 1955 with small 'Aurora Line' rectangular logo and 'Famous Fighters of All Nations'. It is interesting that this issue did not carry the standard Aurora 'Northern Lights' logo for 1956 - perhaps it was designed at the end of 1955 and simply left that way. Correctly molded in metallic burgundy and clear with the correct rectangular clear stand. For this issue the factory changed the swastikas on the tail to iron crosses and decals as well. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
