Exact duplicate of the Sharkit model. The X-10 was a technology demonstrator for the Navaho Cruise Missile. Thirteen of the sleek delta and canard X-10s were built and they successfully tested the aerodynamics and guidance systems for the future Navaho. The X-10 took off and landed as a conventional aircraft and flew at up to mach 2.1. Very highly detailed kit of high-definition resin parts. Includes full instructions and paint/marking guide. Rare kit from the long out-of-business Centuri Company. From the 1970s. The Centuri kit was the competition to the Estes kit and many builders preferred the Centuri offering. The kit measures 43.6 inches high when built and features excellent detail. Parts are injection molded, vacuform and cardboard. The kit has been partially built. The quality of the built is excellent. All work has been done to very high standards. Each vac wrap, the hardest part of the kit, has been perfectly cut out and glued on in the exact position. The kit is ready to finish with the three "C" engine cluster. I inventoried the kit and it is missing one four escape rocket nozzles. These could be made or taken from a spares box. Complete with all other parts, decals and instructions. The decals are present badly deteriorated. They cannot be used.

I believe this is the 4rd issue of this famous kit. (The first was the Brooklyn, then the two 'Carrier' boxes, 88-59 and 88-69) Dates from the mid 1950s with the square 'Aurora Line' small logo and the 'Famous Fighters of All Nations'. Correctly molded in gloss yellow plastic and clear, with the correct rectangular clear stand. Box is in fantastic condition with brilliant colors and gloss. Glue for plastic kits was not available in stores early on, so Aurora often included a small but colorful tube of Aurora Cement with the kits. This kit still has that sealed tube in mint condition. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Glue for plastic kits was not available in stores early on, so Aurora often included a small but colorful tube of Aurora Cement with the kits. Never started.
