The aircraft of which Charles Lindberg said "A very fine plane by the engine is 200HP too small". This aircraft was developed by Norwegian designer Johan Hover as replacement for WWI German float planes currently in use in Norway. The craft was very successful in the tough Norwegian environment. It saw active service including limited attacks on German invaders in WWII. Very high quality vac with many injection molded detail parts (engines, braces, guns, props, etc). Still factory sealed.

UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

Rare. Late 1950s issue. Box has wear as shown. This is a very nice kit in large 1/48 scale with a fully operational mobile operations trailer. The aircraft is molded in silver and the trailer/launcher in bright yellow. NOTE: at one point the seat bottom was glued to the pilot. The glue got old and it fell off. There has been no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
