1973 issue of the 'Peggy D' from the 97th bomber group, 8th Air Force. She took part in the first mission of the 8th in Europe, an attack on the marshaling yard at Rouen on August 17, 1942. Kit has many action features: landing gear extends and retracts, all control surfaces move, wheels and props rotate, bomb bay door opens to show bomb load, guns elevate and turrets rotate. Includes very nice decal sheet. Molded in tan, clear, chrome plate and with rubber tires. The kit has never been started. The chrome parts are still in the factory sealed bags. NOTE: bagged kit - there is no box. The box is shown for reference only. Limited production kit. Includes markings for three aircraft, including Lt. Gnys of 121 Sq Krakow on September 1, 1939. Gnys scored the first Allied victories of WWII when he shot down two Do-17Es near Krakow. The other two markings are No 112 Sq Warsaw and No 113 Sq Warsaw. NOTE: nothing has been glued or painted, but a few of the aft engine vent holes have been very neatly opened. Quality of work is excellent. The kit has been inventoried with all parts and and instructions. NOTE: decals are missing one Polish 'checkerboard' and it's white backing. All other decals are present.

Bagged kit - no box. The box is shown for reference only. 1973 issue of the classic "Four Star" model. The kit has several action features: When you pull the prop outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Kit features a movable control surfaces, highly detailed cockpit, full decals, sliding canopy, bracing material and instructions for rigging. Never started. NOTE: missing #12, a small gear strut. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts present and with decals and instructions. NOTE: the decals are intact but age cracked. There is bug damage on the instructions but it does not interfere with the assembly portion.
