The Type XXI U-Boats were the world's first true submarines; they could travel at high speeds for great distances underwater and attack without visual contact with the targets. The 'snort' allowed them to recharge the batteries and renew the air, eliminating the last needs for surfacing. A development of the Walther Peroxide Boats, the XXIs were seen as a faster way to put a more advanced submarine into service.

Very Rare. From about 1943/44. Burkard kits almost never show up on the open market. They were exceptional solid wood display models for their time - highly prefabricated and very large scale. This one features a 17 inch wingspan, completely precarved fuselage (only needs final sanding), precut wings with rough airfoil, pre-cut stabilizers, fully formed wheels, other wood parts as required, clear front and rear canopy material with the frames printed on in silver, two big full color insignia sheets, a tube of glue and 'near mint' condition full size plans with building instructions. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts.

Rare. An excellent and very highly prefabricated flying model with a 21.25" wingspan (540 mm) when assembled. Features all sharply die-cut parts, factory painted balsa fuselage, wings and stabilizers to match the box art, very simple fuselage construction with two complete sides and several top pieces, completely finished wings with perfect airfoil shape built in, clear vacuform front and rear windshields and clear side windows, rubber motor, scale plastic wheels, plastic prop and full decals. There is a superb sheet of full-size plans and a separate detailed instructions book in English, French and Italian as well. The kit has never been started. 1991 issue of the famous Monogram Four Star model from the late 1950s. The Cyclone was very dependable and powered numerous famous aircraft, the DC-3 and B-17 being just a few. Very nicely detailed for that time and molded in three colors (silver, black and red) as the original. Features movable prop, extra parts to show cutaway working piston and tilting test stand. The kit has never been started. The parts that were never factory sealed (red and silver) have been inventoried 100% complete, while the parts that Revell sealed (black) are still in the sealed bags. Includes decals and instructions. Mold swapping between Revell and Monogram started soon after the same European holding company bought them both.

First issue dated 1956. Ex-'Helicopters for Industry' molds. Very rare. Box is in exceptionally good condition with brilliant colors, excellent gloss and no fading. The only flaws are the factory tape marks and the intact original price tag (from 'Hobbytown Eastgate 12/19/6 - 79 c') on the right short side. The kit has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The kit is currently unassembled. In the distant past, 4 parts were very neatly assembled: engine rotor-tip pods and center hubs. However, very little glue was used and it aged so the parts simply came apart. There is no damage or glue smearing or marks on the outsides of any of the parts.
