Original hardbox issue from 1957 and not the common reissue. This is a very well detailed model for that time and features fully operational launcher and crew. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note that the box is only graded 'good' because 'OK' is written on the box top and two short sides in permanent black market and there is one closed split corner. There is also general wear (mainly the edges) as shown.

1969 Jet Commando issue. This is a reissue (probably the last) of the original 'S' kit from the 1950s. Makes a perfect 'Classic Build' model. Features optional position landing gear and wing tips, VF-11 markings and four AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please NOTE there is bug damage to the decal backing paper, but the actual transfers have no bug damage. The box has corner damage in the lower right and a 2" x .75" section missing on the upper long side.

1954 issue of this classic kit. Molded in the correct gloss silver and clear and with the famous clear 'Revelving Swivel Base.' The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. NOTE: the box would grade higher than 'excellent' but there is a very, very light stain below the front of the aircraft. It is difficult to see. This kit has an interesting history. The first issue came out in the 'short' hardbox that had the full version of this artwork with a port and ocean scene in the background. The first version also had the one-piece stand arm and the instructions that reflected that. The second issue had the same artwork, but with a completely different background that gave better contrast. There may be a 'one-piece' stand arm version in this revised artwork, but I have yet to see one.

1956 first and only issue in very good condition. The box has excellent color and gloss, four solid corners with no repairs, no rips, no tears and no fading. It shows the typical stains from the factory 'gift set' ribbons that Revell shipped these kits with. Never started. All three aircraft are still in the original factory sealed clear plastic bags. All paper work and the famous Revell Swivel Stands are in the factory sealed bags as well. The correct center factory divider is still present in the tray (box bottom) and there is a small, unopened, factory wrapped tube of Revell "S" Cement included.

Rare 1956 Revell Gift set containing all three ships and even the unopened tube of colorful Revell "S" cement. This was the first and only issue of this specific gift set and features spectacular special box artwork. The tugboat is 1/108 scale and the tanker and cargo ship are both 1/400. Inside, the kit is 100% correct. The special color cardboard over lay is factory fresh. The tug and C-3 lower hulls are factory painted red (the T-2 was molded in red so it was not painted). Decals are included. The instruction sheets are excellent with the typical yellowing as the only flaw. The three kits have not been started. The tug and freighter still have the small parts in the factory sealed clear bags; the parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete. The tanker has been inventoried 100% complete. All three kits include decals and instructions. The box has brilliant color and gloss, four solid corners and no repairs. There is no tape, tape marks, price tags or price tag marks. However, there is moderate and light general wear and 'dings' on the two lower corners as shown. Shipping insurance is required with this kit.

1954 original issue of the famous Highway Pioneers 'Foreign Car' series. These issues feature the same 5 car artwork on every box; the only way to identify the contents was an ink-stamped name on the box ends. Molded in gloss dark green plastic. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions present. These kits have a fascinating history. Hobbies were nothing new to America in the 1930s/40s, but they were not mainstream and never made the top 10 list of boys activities. Spurred on by the nation-wide aviation craze in the 1920s, many became modelers and built flying or static wooden models of airplanes, ships, trains, automotive and other subjects. Basic kits existed, but many of these models were built from scratch, which demanded a high talent level developed from years of experience. That changed in the early 1950s when the Gowland & Gowland/Revell Highway Pioneers became the sales sensation of the year. Demand was so great that the factories could not keep up and almost overnight 'model building' was mainstream. The phenomenon of the 'Highway Pioneers' kits was a significant force in proving that model building as a hobby could have mass appeal, provided that the kits were easy enough to build and finish. These 1/32 scale vehicles fit the bill: they could be built in an hour after dinner and looked much like the real cars. The success of the Highway Pioneers lead to the production of other subjects in plastic and the effect was revolutionary. By the late 1950s, model building was the #1 past time of American boys...and many adult males too!

The box has excellent color and gloss, four solid corners and no tape, price tags, torn or missing litho. Inside, the HRS-1 is molded in the correct dark blue plastic and the famous clear Revell base and correct Marines decals for this this issue. The A-4 is molded in the correct medium gray with the clear base and correct and colorful Marines markings for this kit. The instructions are correct also and show these unique decals on the models. First issue dated 1956 with the incredible artwork that has made these kits so famous and valuable. The box is in amazing "Near Mint-" condition with perfect color and gloss. The only things keeping it from being mint are a tiny crease at the lower left (not even visible in the photo) and short, closed tears on the long box sides at the factory sealing tape. Features folding wings and horizontal stabilizer, rotating and elevating rear gun turret, optional position landing gear, speed brakes & escape hatch, three crew figures and more. Includes the famous clear Revell 'Globe' stand. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. 1953 early issue molded in white and black plastic and it includes colorful insignia for 'Gowland's Bakery.' This kit has never been started. All parts are still factory sealed in the original 'krinkle' bag and it includes the instructions. Before the 1950s 'model building' never made the top 10 list of boy's activities.
