Very Rare. This is one of the first three aircraft models issued by Revell back in 1953. This kit is correct with no rivets and no landing gear as well as the unique stand that was only issued with these three kits (and their gift set). This box is in unusually good condition, complete with all end flaps and has not been crushed - usually these thin one-piece boxes are in very bad condition. The box has never been repaired. Flaws include the marker writing on the top, the same size marker with 'K219' on the left short end panel, and very light general wear. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Instructions are printed on the back of the box. It is very interesting to note that this kit is different from the 'Pre-S' issue in the following ways: no rivet detail, almost no panel lines, different part numbers, pilots are a part of the fuselage (busts only), one piece wings and absence of the pods at the half-wingspan line, no landing gear and no holes for such, very early 'Colortone' logo decals and a silver, two piece plastic stand of a unique design that was never used again.

1963 hardbox issue of the rare 'Whip Fly' series. the artwork for this series was 'action' photos by Tom Kelly. Whip-Fly kits feature the 1950s 'S' issue aircraft model with nose ballast, a metal control ring, 12 feet of control line and a control handle. Never started and the parts and all paperwork are still in the internal factory sealed bags. Literally all of the contents are factory sealed. The short-lived Whip-Fly series seemed like a good idea...at first. It was quickly discontinued when Revell discovered that heavily weighted models with sharply pointed noses traveling at 50 or 60 MPH might not be safe.

Rare. Based on the 1950s Yak-25 "S" kit, the Flashlight Whip-Fly comes with USSR decals, flight ballast, handle, 12 feet of control line, control ring, colorful streamers for the jet engines and a underside pod which is a in-flight whistle! Never started. All parts and all paperwork are still in the factory sealed bag. Literally everything inside is still factory sealed. The complete Whip-Fly series includes H151 F9F-8 Cougar, H152 F-84F, H153 F-89D Scorpion, H154 F8U-1 Crusader, H155 F-39 Airacobra, H156 F-101A Voodoo, Canberra, F-106 and Yak-25 Flashlight. The Whip-Fly series seemed like a good idea...at first. Revell quickly realized that spinning heavily-ballasted, sharp objects at dizzying speeds in or outside the home near groups of children was not the best idea. The series was quickly discontinued.

1954 Pre-'S' hardbox with superb artwork by Richard Kishady. It is easy to see why these kits are considered the apex of model box art. Correctly molded in gloss silver & clear plastic and includes the famous Revell "Globe" stand. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. While the box is only 'fair+' and rough, the decals are 'excellent+' and so are the instructions.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG++
$95
1954 issue of this classic kit. This is the second Pre 'S' release. Note that the artwork is a modified version of the first release. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory. The small parts are still factory sealed in the small clear bag; the large parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. The box top would grade higher than 'very good++' but is rated as such because of a very light scuff just above the cockpit canopy and creasing in the lower part of the 'Revell' logo at the lower left.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Sealed VG

Rare 1957 first and only Revell issue in investment-grade "Near Mint" condition. When sales of the dramatic XSL-01 Moon Rocket did not meet expectations, Revell molded the top stage in a different color plastic from the XSL-01, added a special 3D Moon Base Stand and boxed it as this stand-alone kit. The result was this Moon Ship with incredible box art. The box art invites you to 'Enter the Age of Space' with these action features: retractable landing ski, removable fuselage section with detailed cabin with controls and instrument panels and a crew of three astronauts. Molded in correct baby blue plastic. This model has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Box condition details: The color and gloss are perfect. The box looks as if it was just removed from the original shipping box. It actually displays 'Mint' but is graded as 'Near Mint' because there is a very small factory tape litho pull on the long upper long side. The litho pull is on the bottom edge and measures 7mm x 7mm.
