1970s issue of this quality MPC model in the popular Profile Series line. Includes markings for three aircraft: 466 BG, 8th AF - 98 BG, 15th AF and RAF 356 Sqdn, SEAC. This was a well detailed model for that time featuring elevating guns and rotating turrets, movable control surfaces, retractable landing gear, crew members, rotating propellers and wheels, optional position crew entry door & ladder and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The decals are in 'excellent++' condition which is rare for these 1970s MPC kits. They are flat, 100% intact, clear and only have the smallest bit of micro-cracking.

NOTE: this kit is neatly assembled. Quality of assembly is 'excellent.' It was either done by an adult (most likely) or a very talented teenager. It appears that the 'stock' version is what was built and it looks like it is complete, but there could always be some small parts missing. The body has never been painted but there is minor painting as following: interior details (roll bar, steering wheel, console wood insert, etc.), engine and chassis details. The painting is very neat. The wild giant spoiler, radical hood intake, rear end and hood pints & locks are all present and have never been installed. Sold AS-IS. MPC's popular 1970s Profile Series included a well detailed model from Airfix molds and special decals for three versions; in this case, US Navy HS-4 Squadron, US navy HS-10 Squadron and Coast Guard Air-Sea Rescue. The model features rotating main and tail rotors, cockpit and interior detail including cargo deck, opening side doors, cargo net on side hoist, and working dipping sonar assembly that is lowered and raised by turning the main rotors CW or CCW. Rare, large-scale original issue that was purchased new in December of 1973 in Akron, Ohio The MPC Pirates of the Caribbean series were unique and all of them became very collectible, classic kits. Each model is a full diorama and included extra bones, etc. so you could add your own touches. The 'Zap Action' feature was always interesting. In the case of the Mutineers, you press a button, and one pirate attempts to help lift his fellow pirate from a pit. Instead, he pulls his arm off clean off. For young children, this was an object lesson of the true power of a rubber band.

His shipmate, arrives in the nick of time and cuts the anchor chain. Includes a bonus Jollly Roger Belt Badge.
