MPC (Model Products Corporation) was founded in 1963 in New York, quickly gaining recognition for its innovative model kits. Known for their diverse offerings, MPC produced iconic kits like the 1/25 scale Dodge Charger and the 1/24 scale Star Wars Millennium Falcon in the 1970s. The company also ventured into licensed products, creating models based on popular TV shows and movies, such as The Monkees and Star Trek. In the 1970s, MPC released the very popular Profile Series. Inside each box was a quality Airfix kit but with MPC decals to build any of the aircraft shown on the box top. In this case there are decals for four aircraft. This is a well detailed model that features a great deal of interior and all crew stations, opening bomb bay doors, full bomb bay detail, complete weapons load, moving ailerons, elevators & rudder, optional position landing gear and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition which is very rare for these 1970s MPC kits. But before you use any older decals, please read the two articles (on this website) about saving and also reproducing old decals.

From the later 1960s and can be built 'stock' with RAAF decals or as a wild custom racing plane. This kit is from quality Airfix molds and is one of the MPC issues with custom decals, a unique clear Modular Display Stand and an optional clear round propeller disc for an 'in flight' version. Note that this issue still has 'Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued to distribute Airfix and their own models. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag including decals and instructions. The decals are in amazing 'near mint++' condition which is rare for MPC kits from this era.

Features removable cowling showing detailed Jumo engine and firewall, real rubber tires, working canopy and complete cockpit, movable control surfaces, choice of bomb loads and much more. Never started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bags. The large parts are inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. The decals are in amazing 'Near Mint++' condition. Please note that the box is graded 'good-' due to a darking of the cardboard by age foxing.

Rare. Still factory sealed and dated 1972. This exact kit was purchased brand new in December of 1973 in Akron Ohio. The MPC Pirates of the Caribbean series were unique and all of them became very collectible, classic kits. Each model is a full diorama and included extra bones, etc. so you could add your own touches. The 'Zap Action' feature was always interesting. For the this model, the 'live' pirate, name Evilheart, slashes his cutlass at the skeleton guard but misses...and the guard raised his flintlock and gets the drop on Evilheart! Includes a bonus Jollly Roger Belt Badge.

I used to think that this was the old Airfix molds; however, the inside of the lower fuselage says "CPG Products Group 1983" so I am no longer certain of the mold origins. NOTE: the golden tokens on the lower box side have been neatly removed

this 1980s issue is from quality Airfix molds. The Devonshire was launched on June 10, 1960 and was the Royal Navy's first guided missile destroyer. The model features Seaslug and Seacat missile systems, full hull, propeller and rudder detail, very good superstructure and much more. Never started. Factory sealed bag with decals and instructions. The box would grade slightly better than 'Good-' but a previous owner cut the promotional tokens from the lower long box side.

It is well detailed and features parts and decals for a Police Rescue version and US Navy ASW helicopter with torpedo loadout, spinning main and tail rotors, good cockpit & interior detail including cargo deck, opening side doors, cargo net on side hoist, and working dipping sonar assembly (when you turn the rotor, it comes out of the bay and lowers - you can raise it by turning the rotors in the opposite direction) and more.
