Still factory sealed. Monogram purchased Aurora's molds in the mid/late 1970s; they had originally released this kit as a promotion with the 1966 TV series 'The Invaders'. The alien craft features moving landing legs, removable top showing full interior and crew and red-tinted clear landing lights. This Monogram issue is not dated from from the box side layout, I would guess that that it is from the 1980s.

Still factory sealed; this Monogram/Mattel logo issue is dated 1967. Very well detailed for that time and features movable control surfaces, very good cockpit, sliding canopy, instructions for rigging and a novel action feature: when you pull the prop outward and rotate it counter clock-wise, the landing gear retracts. Rotate it clock-wise and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal.

The 3rd issue of this classic 'Four Star' kit. Features perfect fit and finish, retractable landing gear, rotating wheels & propellers, two drop tanks, pilot & copilot figures, optional position rear fuselage door, two survivors in life rafts and one rescue crewman with a rope to place in the opened door. Never started. NOTE: missing one very small antenna - easily made. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions present. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam.

The Aurora Monsters of the Movies were incredibly popular, so the demise of Aurora was a sad day for figure modelers. However, Monogram knew this and had between 3 and 4 reissues of some of the monsters in the 1980s and 1990s. In 1994 the series included Frankenstein, Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy. All four had the glow paint, brush and glue included. Monogram still had to pay a license fee to Universal every time the did a reissue of these famous kits.

The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam. The kit is still factory sealed and is the 1999 reissue or the original 1960s 'Four Star' kit. It has the same box art and is also molded in white and clear plastic. Features retractable landing gear, rotating wheels and propellers, three man crew, optional position rear boarding door, life raft with two survivors and more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes two different partial decal sheets and instructions. NOTE: there are two decal sheets. Sheet #1 (that originally came with the kit) is for two USAF aircraft; it is 95% intact and three decals are missing. The 2nd decal sheet is only partial and from an earlier issue of this model. It includes US Coast Guard markings and the USAF markings are missing.

First Issue dated 1968; not the common reissue from the 1990s. Well detailed with optional position landing gear, detailed cockpit, rotating propellers & wheels and more. Includes decals for KG53 Legion Condor, 7th Staffel or KG2, 7th Staffel. Both groups operated on the Russian Front in 1942. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box displays much better than the 'good' rating but is graded as such because there are tape and tape marks at the center of the two long sides.

Monogram B-26 Invader - Four Star Issue / True Second Issue, 1/67, P6-98

Rare, true second issue from 1955. Few people (including me) knew that there was a second release of P6-98 that varied significantly from the first issue. The true first issue has a part number of 'P6-98', early 'Four Star Plastikit' logo, black rubber main gear tires and no support peg to keep it from being a 'tail sitter' when assembled. The second issue (this kit) has the same part number, identical 'Four Star Plastikit' logo but has regular injection molded (silver) tires and a peg to keep the nose gear grounded. The instructions show these changes are are numbered P6, as are the decals. Molded in correct gloss silver and clear plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. (In the past it was believed that the second issue was 'PA6-98' with a modified box top logo. This is now known to be the third issue.)

Second issue dated 1959 and in exceptional condition. This is part of an incredibly popular and successful line of 1/48 scale World War II aircraft that Monogram began in the 1950s. It features operating dive brakes, trigger released center bomb that swings clear of the propeller arc before dropping, retractable landing gear, rotating & elevating rear machine gun, optional position tear canopy, rotating propeller & wheels and more. Also includes figures of the pilot, gunner, armorer, LSO (landing signal officer), 4 bombs, bomb cart, and LSO wind screen...almost everything but the carrier deck for a diorama. Never started. Iinventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Please note that the box displays as 'Near Mint' condition but it's graded 'Excellent++' because there are creases on the left short side and a small piece of clear tape at the center of all sides.

Kit includes flexible tracks, revolving multiple machine gun turret and elevating machine guns, operating doors, full interior, rubber tires and a 5 Army soldiers with equipment. Very nicely detailed and molded. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. NOTE: the instructions are from the 1960s issue. However, the parts (because of the color) and decals are original to the 1957 kit.

This kit is from 1995 and includes photoetched details and superb Pro Modeler instructions. It is from the well engineered original Monogram kit with excellent detail for that time. Features parts to builds one or two seater version (day or night fighter with radar), removable panels to show twin DB-603 engine detail, full cockpits with optional position canopies, 'up' or 'down' position undercarriage, rotating propellers and more. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Do-335 was a very high performance German WWII aircraft that was too late to see active service. In addition to it's 480+ mph speed, the 335 was equipped with ejection seats and a linked jettisonable upper vertical tail surface.

Very rare. 1978 issue that features a beautifully cast metal upper body, lower body (fenders) and hood. Highly detailed and well molded featuring full rolling chassis just like the actual car, detailed engine, removable hood, complete interior, opening rumble seat, spare-tire mounted side view mirrors, removable convertible top and more. Molded in gray, white, clear, chrome plate and with rubber tires and metal body parts. Never started. It has been inventoried and NOTE: Missing two small parts - #96 and #99, which are both rear tail light brackets. (These two parts can be easily obtained because they are included in the more common normal issues of the Monogram Duesenberg.) Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes instructions.
