$79
Rare, true second issue from 1955. Few people (including me) knew that there was a second release of P6-98 that varied significantly from the first issue. The true first issue has a part number of 'P6-98', early 'Four Star Plastikit' logo, black rubber main gear tires and no support peg to keep it from being a 'tail sitter' when assembled. The second issue (this kit) has the same part number, identical 'Four Star Plastikit' logo but has regular injection molded (silver) tires and a peg to keep the nose gear grounded. The instructions show these changes are are numbered P6, as are the decals. Molded in correct gloss silver and clear plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. (In the past it was believed that the second issue was 'PA6-98' with a modified box top logo. This is now known to be the third issue.)

Iinventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Please note that the box displays as 'Near Mint' condition but it's graded 'Excellent++' because there are creases on the left short side and a small piece of clear tape at the center of all sides.

$95
First issue hardbox 'Four Star' kit from 1958 with an exceptional 'Near Mint-' condition box. This model is part of an incredibly successful & popular line of 1/48 scale World War II aircraft that Monogram launched back in the 1950s. Features wings fold correctly (as on the real aircraft), retractable landing gear, opening bomb bay doors and dropping torpedo, rotating & elevating machine gun, pilot & gunner figures, two ground crew, wheel chocks, rotating propeller & wheels and more. Molded in the correct gloss deep blue and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Both decals and instructions are in 'excellent+' condition. While the box is in 'Near Mint-' condition, it does have flaws which are very light surface wear (near the port side main landing gear wheel), occasional light edge wear (mainly on the four sides) and one repair split corner done so neatly that you might not spot it. It is done correctly with light cardstock and book binding glue.

Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

$165
Rare Second Issue of the popular WWII Jeep in the short box dated 1957. The box is in investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. This second issue shows up less than all other releases; please note it is a 'short' box with the logo text 'The Name For Quality Hobby Kits' replacing the eariler 'Four Star Plastikit.' The model features hinged windshield, rolling wheels, rubber tires, driver, two combat troops and detailed M3-37mm field gun. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. This incredibly popular model was Monogram's 21st plastic model kit and has a long history. The first issue was made in 1957 from all new molds; it was issued in the 'short' box with 'Four Star Plastikit' within the Monogram logo at the upper left. It was a natural choice to include this model in part number MGP1-498, the incredibly rare 'Military Wheels Gift Set' which included Jeep & Gun, Weasel, Half Track and Eager Beaver Truck. The second Jeep issue (this model), which is the rarest of them all, is in the same short box but the only difference is that 'Four Star Plastikit' is replaced by 'The Name For Quality Hobby Kits.' This release is probably from part of 1958. The third issues again has the same part number, the 'Quality Hobby Kits' text but is in a 'long' box that adds bout 3 inches to the length. This was issued until 1966 when Monogram changed to the 'Green' boxes for armor and new part numbers; the Jeep got PM153-100. In the late 1960s, Monogram kept the same artwork but gave the text on the box a facelift with the change to the new, four-digit part number system - this kit received 6864. In 1972 Monogram again re-imaged all of the kits with the famous 'White Box' that featured photographs of the build up models since builders were demanding more realism. The Jeep's first White Box was in 1972, numbered 8211 and in a slightly larger rectangular box. The 1975 White Box shared the same part number but had a slight box top layout change. At this time, it was also made part of the Young Model Builders club kit and sent in a plain cardboard box with a lithograph slick stuck to the bakc. Since this kit continued to sell so well, it was kept in the line up and in 1982 it appears in the new 'Blue Box' design with the number 6302. But even that was not the end! In 1998, Revell (who had purchased the Monogram molds), reissued the kit with a military truck all in one box.

Rare example that is still factory sealed. This is the 1967 second issue of the civil F3F that was flown for Gulf Oil by the famous stunt pilot Al Williams. The kit has many action features and the most famous is as follows: when you pull the propeller outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Also features movable rudder, aileron and elevator, well detailed cockpit, opening canopy, standing pilot figure and more. This 3rd issue is from 1967 and is from the original Four Star molds. For some reason, the Blue Box is harder to find than the earlier Four Star and 1970s White Box issues. Molded in gloss silver and clear plastic and includes the "Sh-Boom" decals like the early issue. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
