1997 reissue from the original 1978 molds. This famous model was initially released in conjunction with the popular TV series. It is very well detailed and measures 17.5 inches long when assembled. Molded in gray plastic and includes an excellent decal sheet with all of the Battlestars listed in the title. The kit has never been started. Dated 1974 but this is the 'short box' second issue from the later 1970s. Includes plated, clear and blue parts with rubber tires. NOTE: this kit has minor, 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: engine long block built; transfer case 1/2s; front & rear differentials to frame. There is no other assembly. Bagged kit. No Box - the box is shown for reference only. When Monogram bought the Aurora molds in the mid 1970s, they reissued the kits that were the most accurate. Features figures of Orville and Wilbur Wright, monorail launching track and carrier dolly and historical accessories-"C" clamp, bench, can, spade and starting battery that were all present at the first flight. Rigging instructions are also included. Molded in colors very close to the original issue - ivory, tan and clear. The kit has never been started.
