Very rare multi-media 'plastic and pre-carved wood' kit. Before there were injection molded plastic kits, model builders worked in wood or metal. Advanced companies, like Monogram, saw the advantage of plastic and began marketing kits with plastic details and fully-carved fuselage, wings, etc. This beautiful kit is one the highest quality composite static kits from the early to mid 1950s. Includes finished wings with airfoil, completely carved fuselage, colored die-cut wooden parts, plastic canopy, pilot, wheel, propeller, front cowling, air scoops, exhaust and more. The model has not been started. The parts that were sealed at the factory are still in the factory sealed clear bags; the parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. There is very slight bug damage to the decal backing paper; only one transfer is effected.

First issue hardbox dated 1962. This kit is part of a very famous World War II action kit line that Monogram issued in 1/48 scale during the 1960s. Very well molded and features Monogram's perfect fit and finish, retractable landing gear, pilot, four bladed propeller, 20mm cannon, belly tank and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
Monogram Hot Rod - Monogram's 2nd Plastic Model, 1/24, P2-98

Rare and historical kit. This is the second Monogram plastic kit which was issued in 1954. The first kit was P1, the Midget Racer. The 'Hot Rod' is certainly the rarer of the two. Inside, the kit is still sealed in the original cello bag. The bag does not have any splits, which is highly unusual due to the age and brittle nature of the cello. This very early plastic model kit is molded in colorful dark blue acetate plastic. The instructions are in 'excellent++' condition with slight yellowing as the only significant flaw. There is a small kit catalog included, and it is the correct one as it shows only two plastic models in Monogram's complete line! Unlike many other Monogram automotive kits, this kit has never been reissued. The box is in 'good++' condition. Color and gloss are excellent, all four corners are original and solid, there are no repairs, no price tags or tag marks, no tape or tape marks (other than the original factory sealed tape, of course) and no missing litho. Flaws include age foxing (heavier on the two long sides than anywhere else), general even wear as shown and a 1" long closed tear on the lower long side; much of the tear is not visible until you move the cardboard. This kit must be shipped insured.

Very rare true first issue of this classic kit dated 1957. Please note the 'Four Star Plastikit' text under the Monogram logo; this and the 'P' prefix on the part number was used for this issue only. This well molded and detailed model features Monogram's famous perfect fit and finish, very fine surface detail, clear cockpit and cabin windows, drop tanks, retractable landing gear, rotating wheels & propellers, three man crew, optional position cabin door, two survivors in a life raft and more. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam.

This model features Monogram's flawless fit and finish, very realistic corrugated skin, detailed engines, rotating propelers, skis and wheels landing gear, dog sled team/crew in Parkas, scale figures and more. Includes full markings for the 1929 Antarctic Expedition aircraft that is currently at the Henry Ford Museum. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The decals and instructions are in 'excellent++' condition. The box has very light age foxing as shown.

Very highly detailed model with interior; Monogram simply added a clear fuselage half to make this 'The Visible B-17'. Never started. The box sides are rougher than the top, mainly because of plenty of clear tape and some closed tears; that is why the box is only graded 'good'.

This Young Astronauts issue from 1985 is perhaps the highest quality kit available of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Includes LEM, detailed moon base, solar wind detector, TV camera, seismometer, flag, astronauts, laser reflector, stereo camera, decals, gold foil and more. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The few parts that were not factory sealed (the largest ones) have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.

1986 issue from the original 1968 molds. It is unusually complete as includes the Young Astronauts poster and membership form. This is the best Saturn V in 1/144 scale due to the excellent detail that Monogram was famous for. All three stages separate from each other in order to demonstrate a simulated flight. Apollo upper section opens to release lunar module with two stages and operating landing legs. Includes three figures and launch pad stand. Molded in white, silver and with a large yellow base. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, excellent decals and instructions.
