Rare very, large and well detailed scale model of one of the earliest Ships-Of-The-Line to be equipped with screw propulsion. Full hull model measures 735mm (28.9 inches) long when assembled and features roughly 300 or more pieces, all deck fittings and houses, ships boats, individually molded cannon barrels and gun port doors, superb pre-molded rat lines, net material for the bow, rigging material and much more. Includes a very nice display stand and colorful cloth flags. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags. Includes flags and instructions. Still factory sealed. This highly detailed model has 173 pieces and is an accurate representation of a Galleon-type of warship from about 1450. Note the 8 towers, which housed men-of-arms for when the ship drew near the opponent. Includes billowing sails. NOTE: the box displays much higher than the 'Sealed Fair' rating; it is ranked that low because 4/5 of the right top box side is missing. The inner box is still intact and the factory seal has kept the box from ever being opened.

Rare 1959 'S' issue in well above average condition overall. This full-hull kit has excellent detail, even by today's standards. Includes hull plating detail, full below the waterline detail, finely molded raised line 'planked' deck, complete deck fittings, many moving features such as rotating main turrets with elevating guns, other guns that rotate, moving rudder, davits that can be lowered and raised, railings on each level and includes a display stand as well. Molded in correct white, tan and dark brown plastics. The model has never been started. Carefully inventoried 100% complete with all plastic parts, black cord for the anchors,, decals, flag sheet, booklet 'The Story of Ships' and instructions. While the kit is complete with all parts, it suffers from what every Revell Olympia kit suffers from - broken railing stanchions on the hull.

First release 1953 hardbox pre 'S' kit and the first ship model that Revell cut their own molds for. Earlier Revell ship releases were very small scale sailing shps from ex-Gowland & Gowland molds. This kit was so popular for so long that many believe it was Revell's best selling ship model of all time. Inside, the kit is molded in the correct gloss medium gray plastic. It has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts, the original small parts 'krinkle' bag (torn open), flag sheet and instructions. The early style flag sheet is in amazing 'near mint' condition and the instructions are the correct very large format for this issue and in 'excellent' condition. Please note that Revell did not furnish decals with this issue.

This is one of the final 'S' kits and is dated 1960; the red and yellow "S" Cement logos are on all four side panels. Like most early Revell sailing ship models, the molds were cut by true craftsman and builds into a beautiful model. Features crisp details, excellent mold quality, full hull with simulated wood planking and copper plates below the waterline, one piece main deck, sail lockers, fife rails, cleats, capstans, windlass, fresh water barrels, detailed deck houses, bilge pump, cargo hatches, skylights, wheelhouse & wheel, ladders, rear railings, ship's boats & davits, figurehead, fore & aft catheads, anchors, three piece masts with separately molded crows nests and cross trees, separately molded yard arms & jibs, realistic deadeye & chainstay assemblies, Revell's famous pre-formed ratlines, vacuform billowing sails, rigging thread, rigging instructions and even a display stand. Inside, the kit has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals, flags and instructions present. Even includes a very colorful unopened metal tube of original "S" Glue. NOTE: part #4 pin rail is broken; but all parts are present and fit back perfectly for a straight-forward repair.

Rare true first issue of this kit dated 1959 and in exceptional condition inside and out. Large and highly detailed she measures 36 inches long when assembled. The box is not perfect but is among the better that I have ever seen. It has excellent color and gloss, zero price tags, no fading and no tape or tape marks other than the factory sealing tape. There is light general wear, the stain just above the 'Y' on the box top, a factory tape litho pull (1.25" x .5") on the top long side and 2 partially split corners. Amazingly, this kit is still the 'standard' that other large-scale plastic sailing ships models are measured by. Since this is the first issue, the model has the factory painted copper hull below the waterline. The factory paint is in amazing 'near mint' condition. Since this is a first edition it also contains the booklet about the Cutty Sark. Features highly detailed deck, deck houses, cargo holds and removable covers, masts, yards and booms, bilge pump, windlass, 20 crew figure, lifeboats with oars, life preservers, anchors and anchor chains. Includes draftline and transom decals, figurehead, finely detailed hull, preformed ratlines and molded deadeyes, pin rails and blocks, full standing rigging instructions & diagrams, two thicknesses each of cotton cord for running & standing rigging and metal chain. Molded in three colors - black, ivory/white and dark swirl wood tan. The kit has never been started. Beside the hull, all parts are in the rare factory internal box which is almost never present. Even the original factory packing tissue is present. Inventoried with all parts, 'excellent++' condition decals, instructions and rigging plans present. Just an item of interest - if you have built this amazing kit, you know that often some of the incredibly fine parts are broken in shipment from the Revell factory. Well, that happened to this the original owner and he wrote Revell; and they sent him replacements! They are still in the original 'Revell' shipping box which cost 3 cents to mail. The parts are still inside in the factory bag. This kit must be shipped insured.

Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. CGN-9 U.S.S. LONGBEACH was the worlds first nuclear-powered warship. She was launched in July of 1959 as the lead ship of the first new cruiser class since WWII. Originally designed as an all-missile cruiser, she was later fitted with two 5"/36 caliber guns amidships. After serving more than 33 years, she was decommissioned on 1 May 1995.
