Early issue dated 1969 and a well detailed kit of USS Hornet the Apollo Recovery configuration from the same year. Measures 20 inches long when assembled. Features one piece hull, propellers & rudder, detailed island structure, AA guns, cranes, ships boats, movable aircraft elevators, in-scale Apollo Capsule, Grumman S-2 Trackers, E-1 Tracers, Sea King Helicopters and much more. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts, decals and instructions. The decals are flat and intact but only in 'good' condition. I highly recommend the excellent Mark's Models/Starfighter replacement decals, which he has for many of these Revell Ships.

Dated 1977 and a very nice kit for that time. Features full hull, propeller & rudder detail, internal rear boat-launching bay with opening door, 2 landing craft with tanks, 2 CH-26 and 2 UH-1 Helicopters, boat crane, crash crane, moving turrets & Sea Sparrow launchers, 4 launches, excellent flight deck decals and more. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: while all parts are complete, a short, simple cylindrical shaft is broken off of one propeller shaft/support. This is very easily replaced with wire, pulled sprue or stock plastic.

Rare 1960s release with fantastic artwork. This model is well molded and detailed like most Airfix ships. It features full hull, propellers & rudder, detailed recessed boat deck, individual life boats, swimming pools and more. Includes full decals. The kit has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: this kit has some very neatly, adult-quality sub-assembly as follows: funnel 1/2s built, lifeboats to boat deck. There is no other assembly. Very little glue was used; so little that I used a wire to poke out two of the lifeboats from the back of the deck; both of them came out with very little effort. Four decks, the inside of the lifeboats and the propellers have been painted; there is no other painting. The large 45,270 ton Canberra was a famous post-WWII P&O ship from the final glory days of ocean liner travel. She was very innovative and it is said that never were so many new concepts pressed into service on one ship. She could carry a total of 3,199 passenger and crew and turn 27.4 knots with her powerful turbo-electric drive. Pressed into service as a troop transport during the Falklands war and nicknamed the 'Great White Whale', she could have been a prime target of the Argentine Air Forces but escaped damage.

Type 4 logo issue and most likely from the 1970s or 80s. This is a well detailed and molded full-hull model with 71 pieces. It has been inventoried complete with all parts present and includes decals and instructions. There is no assembly but NOTE: the small parts have been painted gray. You can strip this with any plastic-safe paint stripper; my favorite is spray-on oven cleaner.

This 'S' hardbox issue is dated 1956, but from the price extension of '349', it is most likely from about 1958/1959. Very well detailed and molded large kit that features a full, one-piece hull, complete propeller and rudder detail, moving Elevators, crane and antenna booms, separately molded anti-aircraft guns and directors, detailed island structure with sensor suite, and much more. Includes an Air Wing of helicopters, A3D Skywarriors, FJ Furys, F7U Cutlass and Banshee aircraft. The kit has never been started. Inside, the parts are still in the Revell factory sealed bag, which is most unusual. This must have been right around the first time that Revell started to experiment with sealing the parts inside such a large kit. Includes decals and instructions, both of which are in 'excellent++' condition.

Dated 1975. This is Revell's own cut away nuclear SSBN, not the Renwal reissue. The molds were slightly modified from the 1961 originals. Features highly detailed interior with nuclear power plant room, reactor room with shield, 'Sherwood Forest,' instrument and chart room, mess and galley, crew's quarters, torpedo room, opening missile hatches, Polaris missiles and much, much more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: two pieces are a different shade of gray plastic; they are from an earlier issue of this same kit. There are two decals sheets and NOTE: one is in fine condition but only about 70% complete. The other sheet is a full sheet but badly damaged. The instructions are in 'very good' condition.

Rare in 100% complete and never started condition. This classic 24" long Cold War SSBN kit is from about 1960. Features a complete and detailed interior almost identical to the dramatic box art and the starboard hull half opens downward to display it. Features rotating propeller, working diving planes, rudders, periscopes, snorkels, actual 'launching' Polaris missile from a spring-loaded tube, two Polaris A-1 missiles, crew members and much more. Includes a display stand which conceals the hinge for the starboard hull half. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts present and includes decals and instructions. There is bug damage to the decal backing paper only; the actual transfers have no damage. The box is only in 'good-' (not collectible) condition. It has fine color but significant general wear, especially on the corners and edges. There are two large litho tape pulls on both long sides and a closed split corner at the lower left side.

Rare, early to mid 1950s issue with dramatic Ray Gaedke artwork. This box has the 1st Lindberg 'circle' logos on the short sides and the then 'new' rectangle logo in the other locations. This full hull kit is very well detailed for that time and features 153 pieces, full hull, propeller & rudder detail, extensive deck fittings, detailed guns & mounts, gun tubs, complete superstructure, landing craft with opening front doors, stanchions for thread railings and much more. Includes a display stand with name plate. The kit has been inventoried complete with all parts present, decals, color flags, and correct first logo instructions. This kit has a fascinating history directly linked to the origins of USA plastic ship modeling. Originally produced by Varney in 1944, it was highly detailed, had a wooden hull, cardstock deck but all injection molded tenite deck parts and details. When the early Varney aircraft and ship kits did not sell well, Gorden Varney sold the molds for the kit to O-lin (Olsen and Lindberg). O-Lin reworked the kit using a vacuform hull, cardstock deck, metal railings and tenite parts. When Lindberg took full control of O-lin, he modified the molds for a third time so the kit has metal railings and all other parts are injection molded. The fourth issue had all plastic parts; Lindberg dispensed with the metal railings, replacing them with notched stanchions for more scale-looking thread rails. The fifth issue was motorized, including an electric motor, switch, hardware, drive propeller and provision for batteries. Over the years Lindberg has reissued this popular kit several more times; some were motorized and some where not.

This 2007 set includes both kits. The Merrimac measures just shy of 13 inches long and the Monitor measures 8.25 inches long. Never started. The two ships have been inventoried complete with all parts and instructions present but NOTE: the vacuform water 'battle display base' is missing. These are the two American Civil war ships that spelled the end of the wooden ship age. In March of 1862, the Merrimac put to sea to raise the Union Blockade off the James River. There she sank the Cumberland and Congress. The Monitor, the Union's only ironclad and the first turret ship, was rushed to the scene. The epic battle between the two iron-clad ships ended in a draw, with the Merrimac suffering a little more damage than the Monitor. The Merrimac was blown up to avoid capture; the Monitor sank in a gale in 1862.
