Rare 1954 hardbox issue with 89 cent price extension. This is the early small, thin box format measuring 13.25 x 4.1 x 1 inches. All parts are molded in correct gloss medium gray. Never started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Decals are flat an in 'excellent++' condition and the instructions are 'very good++'. The box would grade higher than 'very good++' but it is rated as such because there is a 1/2" x 1/2" tape pull at the bottom center of the long top side.

Easily the ultimate HMS Victory kit and widely acknowledged as one of the finest injection molded sailing warship models ever made. Very highly detailed with 2107 parts and measures over 43 inches long when assembled. There is no assembly. Most parts are still in the factory sealed bags. A few bags were worn, so I opened those and inventoried them complete. The large parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried complete. Includes color flags and full instructions. NOTE: the largest parts of the hull have been very neatly airbrushed black. The hull halves are also painted copper below the waterline and airbrushed the correct three yellow stripes across the gun ports as shown on the box art. Quality of painting ranges from 'professional' to 'excellent+'.

Includes full rigging instructions, rigging material and billowing sails. The kit has never been started. Most parts are still in the factory sealed clear bags. The hull & decks were never sealed; one bag of black and one bag of red parts were both split open, so all of these were inventoried and they are complete with all parts. Everything else is still factory sealed. Includes a comprehensive manual with building instructions, rigging diagrams, parts layout, knot tying guide and more. Thanks to Imai's careful design of the internal packaging, the vacuform sails are in 'excellent' to 'near mint' condition.

1986 issue from the original, quality Pyro molds. These are considered more accurate than the Lindberg models of the same subject. Both models have never been started. All parts are still in the the two internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. These two American Civil War ships spelled the end of the wooden ship age. In March of 1862, the Merrimac put to sea to raise the Union Blockade off the James River. There she sank the Cumberland and Congress. The Monitor, the Union's only ironclad and the first turret ship, was rushed to the scene. The epic battle between the two iron-clad ships ended in a draw, with the Merrimac suffering a little more damage than the Monitor. The Merrimac was blown up to avoid capture; the Monitor sank in a gale in 1862.

Very rare kit with great box art by Mort Kunstler. This is the first and probably only issue dated 1967. Aurora did a beautiful job on this model, but it simply did not sell and was discontinued very shortly. The high price of $5 USD and the esoteric subject matter were to blame. This is a large-scale model with excellent detail. Features a one piece hull, complete propeller and rudder detail, one piece main deck, venetian blinds for the larger interior windows, extensive deck fittings which are all separately molded, all hand rails (in chrome), dinghy with interior & oars, spray shields, display stand, 5 figures and much more. The kit has never been started. The blue and white parts are still in the factory sealed bags. The brown and chrome parts are loose and have been inventoried 100% complete. Includes instructions and decals. The chrome plating in in 'as new' condition. This kit must be shipped insured.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Sealed Fair
$50
Still factory sealed. This highly detailed model has 173 pieces and is an accurate representation of a Galleon-type of warship from about 1450. Note the 8 towers, which housed men-of-arms for when the ship drew near the opponent. Includes billowing sails. NOTE: the box displays much higher than the 'Sealed Fair' rating; it is ranked that low because 4/5 of the right top box side is missing. The inner box is still intact and the factory seal has kept the box from ever being opened.

$84
Early hardbox issue dated 1965. As with most all early Revell sailing ship models, this model is a beautiful example of the mold-makers art, being both highly detailed and finely molded. Features full hull, complete deck fittings, vacuform sails, figures of Drake and his crew, preformed rat lines, very detailed painting instructions, rigging instructions and more. Never started. The parts, sails and all paperwork are still in the internal factory sealed bag. Literally everything inside is factory sealed.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG++
$285
Rare 1959 'S' issue in well above average condition overall. This full-hull kit has excellent detail, even by today's standards. Includes hull plating detail, full below the waterline detail, finely molded raised line 'planked' deck, complete deck fittings, many moving features such as rotating main turrets with elevating guns, other guns that rotate, moving rudder, davits that can be lowered and raised, railings on each level and includes a display stand as well. Molded in correct white, tan and dark brown plastics. The model has never been started. Carefully inventoried 100% complete with all plastic parts, black cord for the anchors,, decals, flag sheet, booklet 'The Story of Ships' and instructions. While the kit is complete with all parts, it suffers from what every Revell Olympia kit suffers from - broken railing stanchions on the hull.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc+++
$145
Rare 1956 issue of this famous kit with the great box artwork that has made these kits so famous and collectible. The box is in amazing 'Excellent++' condition with factory-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no stains or missing or torn litho and no price tage or tape or marks from either (this box missed the factory tape sealing machine!). The only significant flaws are corner and vertical edge wear. This large-scale model features excellent detail for that time and almost all items shown in the box art - railings, grates, name boards, navigation lights, vents, whistles, bumpers, bitts and even two crew members. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. You can quickly tell the 1955 first version from this 1956 second version by the way 'Harbor Tug' is presented. On the 1955 version it is in black font.
