NOTE: missing part #22, a bridge piece that is solid, smooth, about .5 inches high and 1.3 cm high and shaped like half of an ellipse. This part can be made by a skilled modeler. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts and instructions.

The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The prototype vessel is the flagship of the German Society for the Rescue of the Shipwrecked (DGzRS). Hermann Marwede (1878-1959) was a notedGerman philanthropist and industrialist, known for his support of civil sea rescue and lifesaving operations.

From the mid 1970s and original Pyro molds. Full hull kit measures almost 10 inches long when assembled and features very good molded detail including wood planking on the deck, wood grain on the hull and even copper plates below the waterline, pre-molded ratlines, detailed deck, billowing sails and display stand. Molded wood brown and off-white. A photo of the built kit on the instructions serves as a standing rigging diagram. Never started. Inventoried complete and includes the instructions. This is one of the 'intermediate' line of Pyro ship kits, which at the time were Pyro called '$1.00 Models'. All were roughly the same size and were a significant increase in detail from the '50 Cent Models'.

Later issues have a 'B' or 'C' in front of the three digit kit number; some have simplified box art that is a modification of the original Rudisill paintings by painting out most of the background. Pyro issued these kits into the late 1960 when Life-Like took over the molds. Some were reissued by Life-Like.

From the late 1950s. Rare, early original Pyro issue with large colorful box and internal blue packing inserts. Very nicely detailed for that time and measures 13.5 inches long when assembled. Includes crew members and rigging material. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. Please note, this very early issue was not made with decals. The box is intact but has wear and the hole at left as shown. Despatch No.9 was built by the Tampa Marine Corporation in Florida in 1945 for the fleet of tugs operated by Standard Oil of California in Sacramento Bay and the San Joaquin River.

CV-6 has a combat record unequaled in history of the US Navy and is considered the most Successful Warship in History. Her totals were as follows: 20 Battle Stars, 911 Aircraft Destroyed and 71 Ships Sunk. She took part in almost every major action of the Pacific war from 1941 to 1945. The fascinating history of this ship is told by Commander Edward P. Stafford, USN, in his legendary book "The Big E - The Story of the USS Enterprise."

First issue 1956 'S' issue with fantastic box artwork. Like almost all of Revell's early ship models, this one is very finely molded and has very good detail. Full hull, large scale kit features complete deck fittings, rotating and elevating main 5" gun, 8 depth charge launchers, rear depth charge racks, very nicely detailed superstructure with separately molded AA guns, life rafts, seach lights, radar and more, full under hull detail with rudder, props and shafts, davits, lifeboats, booms and more. 1998 issue where Revell did an amazing job of upgrading the molds and adding numerous new parts. This version is the modified Sara after her SLE (Service Life Extension) that started in October of 1980 at Philadelphia. Nicely detailed full hull kit that measures over 22 inches long when assembled. Features updated island structure, Sea Sparrow launchers, three Phalanx close in weapon systems, airwing of F-14, A-6, EA-6B, F/A-18 and S-3 Aircraft and SH-3 Seaking helicopters and much more. The large decal sheet includes extensive deck markings and aircraft decals. NOTE: this kit has minor, 'very good' quality subassembly as follows: rear bulkhead and fantail to stern (quality of assembly 'very good'. The fit is fine but there is some minor glue showing; easily rectified); #93 + #94 sponson and sponson deck (quality of assembly 'excellent++'). There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete and includes decals and instructions.
