This exact model has a displayable 'good-' condition box, all of the original internal cardboard presentation material present and features high quality printwood, factory-cut stringers & spars, pre-drilled nose block, completely formed and finished wheels, thrust button and propeller hub, clear window material, full color insignia, covering tissue and more. Very rare and from the mid 1930s to the early 1940s. This is a Cleveland 'D' or dwarf kit. The term 'Dwarf' is just a bit deceptive, as it is Cleveland's designation for 1/24 scale. Most Cleveland kits were designated 'SF' or Scale Flying - 1/16 scale. The Dwarf kits were needed to fill a market demand for smaller flying models. All Cleveland kits were exceptionally complete and Dwarfs were no exception, containing very high quality balsa printwood, stringers & spars, fully formed wheels, covering tissue, a wood propeller that is about 90% carved and just needs final sanding, gray rigging thread (if required), metal and balsa stock as required and more. With Cleveland's famous high-quality plans. While the box has significant wear, the kit inside is still 'factory tissue sealed.' When the Cleveland workers packed each kit, they wrapped them in tissue that effectively made a seal which has not been disturbed. Ju-52s saw service in almost every operational area of the war and served as transports, bombers, minesweepers and more. Has markings for either aircraft. MG-K of 7th Sq served as a minelayer, bomber and one of the first units of the Pathfinder force, and EX-L of 199 Sq of No.3 Group which converted from Wellingtons in 1943 and performed bombing, minelaying and supply missions. In 1944 they flew with 100 Group on Radio Counter Measure (ECM) missions until 1945.
