1960s issue from Plasticos Lodela, S.A. This model features variable sweep wings, retracting landing gear, detailed jet engine, movable control surfaces and more. Molded in silver and clear plastic. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The X-5 was the first aircraft to change the angle of wing sweepback in flight, and paved the way for the legendary F-111 and F-14.

Still factory sealed with the box in investment-grade 'Near Mint++' condition. 1979 release that is very nicely molded & detailed and from the original 1960s molds. This issue has the shorter 1.25" high box. Monogram first released the F4B-4, Goshawk and P-6E Hawk in the 1960s 'Blue Boxes' and also in a 'gift set' blue box containing all three kits. Being very good sellers, Monogram discontinued them through the 'White Box' era. But even with Monogram's demise, the story did not stop there. Accurate Miniatures gained access to the molds and reissued two of the three kits in a special boxing. Mark's Models/Starfighter Decals even makes special markings for these models even today.

Still factory sealed and the first issue from 1985. This kit has something that has not been seen since: markings for the first and only US Navy Aces in the Vietnam war, Randy Cunningham and Willie Driscoll. They also shot down three Mig-17s in one mission, including a top scoring enemy ace.

The actual kit is still factory sealed. 1994 issue that is the is the superb Pro Modeler release. This model is from completely new molds (not the old Monogram P-47). It is the second issue 'Short Box' dated 1974, although the release date is actually in the late 1970s or early 1908s. This is an incredibly well detailed model for that time and features optional parts for P-61A or P-61B variants, very fine raised panel lines and recessed control surface outlines, highly detailed interior with all crew stations, optional position canopy, detailed wheel wells, removable cowl with detailed engine, optional position wing flaps and crew boarding door with stairs, rotating turret with elevating guns, optional drop tanks, 55 gallon drum, three ground crew figures and more.

Very nicely molded and detailed kit with 116 parts. Features all fine recessed panel lines, detailed cockpit, rotating turrets, separately molded elevators and four-view painting guides & markings for three air forces: Luftwaffe, Dutch and Swedish. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Do-24 was being built in Holland under license. When the Germans invaded, they found 3 done and 25 in various states of completion. The Air Ministry was looking for aircraft suitable to salvage sunk aircraft, and the Do-24 fit the bill. The American Wright engines were removed and BMWs installed. The Do-24 went on to see successful service in WWII as recon, supply and ambulance aircraft. A squadron was supplied to Spain, and one Do-24 remained operational until 1970.
