1960s issue of this fine kit which includes an excellent, factory-sealed Airwaves AC7215 Hawker Sea Fury Cockpit And Exterior Detail Set in photoetched brass. It features about 60 pieces and is a significant upgrade to this model especially for the cockpit and landing gear area. The actual kit is well detailed with fine raised panel lines, separately molded ailerons, elevators & rudder, basic cockpit, pilot figure, folded or flight position wings, rotating propeller & wheels, under-wing drop tanks & rockets and more. Molded in tan & clear plastic. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Air Lines kits all utilize Frog molds and the Lines Brothers exported them to the USA between 1964-1966. The kits, decals and instructions were made in England, then imported to the USA where Testors created the boxes with the colorful trading cards on the back. There are one or two trading cards on the back of each box; the trading card illustrations show only the artwork and do not have the Air Lines logo.

Rare and still the only way to make this jet in 1/72 scale. Still factory sealed. This conversion kit features cast metal nose cone, very high quality vacuform fuselage, clear canopy in mint condition (and not yellowed) and full instructions. Requires a base kit, which is not included; the Hasegawa 1/72 Mig-17 is recommended. The Soviets never made a two-seat Mig-17 trainer; they used the two seat Mig-15 and other jet trainers to guide pilots through the transition. The Chinese were left to the task and it proved to be a wise undertaking. Shenyang was tasked with the job. Although it is not certainly, it looks a lot like a Mig-15 UTI trainer front end grafted to a Mig-17. While that would never work in mass production, it still may have been the basis of the prototype and design. Regardless of the origins, it was a success and built in large numbers. It saw service in the PLAAF as well as many other countries where the single-seat Mig-17 was the standard jet fighter.

Rare kit from 1959 and the only aircraft model ever made by Adams. This was a fantastic kit for the time and features very fine raised panel lines with recessed control surface outlines, retractable landing gear, pilot & ejection seat, opening canopy and missiles that actually launch from the central pod. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Adams was founded by Steve Adams and released plastic assembly kits in the late 1950s. The company was innovative and the general quality of most kits was very high for the time- so much that builders (not just collectors) still seek the kits today. Adams is best known today for a series of military vehicles and missiles, although they also released an aircraft (Draken), helicopter (YH-41), balloon (La Coquette) and ship (SS Savannah). Some of these appeared in gift sets as well. The Adams smaller scale (1/40) Atomic Cannon, Hawk Missile Battery, Honest John, Vanguard (1/80) and Thor (1/87)missiles and other kits are still sought after today. Combinations of these kits were issued in gift sets, which are very desirable collector's items today. In the late 1950s, Adams entered into a joint venture with Revell, and several of the military kits were released under the Revell label, such as the Jeep among others. Around 1960 there was a disagreement between Adams and Revell, and the agreement was terminated. Sometime after this, Adams quit the plastic model business, and Life-Like purchased most of the Adams molds.

Although the N3N looked similar to many biplanes of the day, it was a revolutionary design for the mid 1930s. The sturdy, all-metal construction allowed it to meet the '25 year service' requirement. In reality the aircraft served in the Navy up to 1961! It was the first aircraft soloed by thousands of naval aviators and many still continue to fly in civil service. It was designed and built by the government owned Naval Aircraft Factory at Philadelphia. This very high quality kit features optional parts for float or land based versions, cast metal details, detailed cockpit, extruded strut material and full color decals & paint guides for multiple aircraft. The molding quality of the white main airframe parts rivals or surpasses many injection molded kits. Never started. The small parts are still sealed in the factory bags; the parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete, with decals and all paperwork present. Very limited edition model of this unique Soviet prototype aircraft. Features all recessed panel lines, very good tandem cockpit, optional position crew hatches, separately molded control surfaces, detailed landing gear and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Sukhoi T-4 'Sotka' is a Soviet high-speed reconnaissance, anti-ship and strategic bomber aircraft. It is also called 'Aircraft 100', 'Project 100' and even Su-100. Four aircraft were built but only the first prototype flew. In 1963, the Soviet government held a request for proposal among the aircraft design bureaus. The Sukhoi design had a very high cruise speed of 3,200 km/h (2,000 mph) and was favored over the designs submitted by Yakovlev and Tupolev. After a preliminary design review in June of 1964, the building of a prototype was authorized. Development of the T-4 required massive research efforts to develop the technologies necessary, including the manufacturing technologies to machine and weld the materials (much of titanium) necessary to withstand sustained Mach 3 flight. Nearly 600 patents or inventions are attributed to the program. The first flying prototype was finally completed in the autumn of 1971. The first T-4, designated "101", first flew on 22 August 1972. The test pilot was Vladimir Ilyushin, son of famed aircraft designer Sergei Ilyushin, and the navigator was Nikolai Alfyorov. Testing continued to 19 January 1974. The T-4 flew only ten times for a total of 10 hours and 20 minutes. Work continued on an additional three airframes (one for static testing) through 1975. In 1974, the Ministry of Aviation Industry (Soviet Union) ordered work suspended on the T-4 project, which was then officially scrapped on 19 December 1975. One T-4 survives. Aircraft '101' (the flying prototype #1) is on display at the Central Air Force Museum in Monino near Moscow.
