First issue hardbox is dated 1959. This is a long-time favorite in the Monogram 1/48 WWII aircraft line because of superb fit and finish, the gloss dark blue and black plastic, the realistic appearance and all those wonderful "ACTION!" features. Includes operating dive brakes, trigger released center bomb, retracting/extending landing gear, removable rear canopy, rear machine gun that elevates and rotates, pilot and gunner figure and also includes figures of the LSO (landing signal officer) & armorer, 4 bombs, bomb cart, and LSO wind screen. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box has great color & gloss, four solid corners and little wear; however, the seal was on this box until fairly recently and it drew the box top slightly concave.

Out of production. Still factory sealed. This 2007 release is the second issue - it is a reissue of the classic first issue from 1979. Very well detailed with 175 parts and molded in light gray and clear. Features clear port fuselage half that shows the interior detail of the cockpit, bomb bay, navigators station, radio operator, gunner and bombardier stations. If you do not want to use the clear fuselage, there is also a 'solid' colored port half.

Dated 1955 and the 2nd issue of this classic model. The box is in amazing, investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. The box has factory-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no tape or tags, no marks from tape or tags, no fading, stains or litho damage. The only flaws are very light wear. Kit features rotating wheels and propellers, side gun packs and cannon/machine gun nose, crew members, underwing rockets and boarding ladder. Molded in silver and clear plastic. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Decals are 'excellent+' and the instructions are 'very good+'. This is a later 2nd issue with silver plastic main gear tires (not rubber ones).

From the later 1960s and can be built 'stock' with RAAF decals or as a wild custom racing plane. This kit is from quality Airfix molds and is one of the MPC issues with custom decals, a unique clear Modular Display Stand and an optional clear round propeller disc for an 'in flight' version. Note that this issue still has 'Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued to distribute Airfix and their own models. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag including decals and instructions. The decals are in amazing 'near mint++' condition which is rare for MPC kits from this era.
