Original first issue 'Pre-S' kit from 1954 and before the 'S' Cement logo was used. The box has classic 'Flying Dragon' Richard Kishady artwork. Features rotating turrets and propellers, pilot, copilot and bomber figures and "The Flying Dragon" decals. Correctly molded in gloss olive drab and clear and includes the famous Revell Swivel 'Globe' base. Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: one part, the very small nose door, is a slightly different color plastic. It is from the 1960s issue of the same kit. The box is only 'good' because of moderate general wear, edge wear and many very light brown age spots.

Rare Revell of Japan hardbox release dated 1969. This is a well molded kit of the early 'Stretch 8' and it features very fine recessed and raised panel lines, recessed control surface outlines, optional position landing gear, detailed JT3D-3 fan engine pods with intake compressor detail, roll-up passenger boarding stairs and excellent United markings with all stripes. This model features the main airframe parts vacuform molded in white plastic, mumerous cast metal details, clear parts (not yellowed)and full plans/instructions. Any C-47 kit can be used for finer details. The kit has never been started. The metal parts are still in the factory sealed small bag; all other parts have been inventoried complete and includes all paperwork. NOTE: the clear nose (bombardiers) section is warped and split in two. NOTE: Special modeling skills, including scratch building are required for vacuform kits. They are not recommended for builders who are not experienced with this type of model.

The Eduard set provides in abundance exactly what this kit lacks - a detailed cockpit and wheel wells. The model itself is an excellent classic kit from ex-Hawk molds. It is noteworthy for it's excellent fit & finish and the large and beautiful set of decals for the "Gulfhawk" Gulf Oil sponsored air-show aircraft flown by the famous Al Williams. Williams amazing stunt routines amazed millions of spectators over several decades; however (and unfairly), his Gulfhawk aircraft were more famous than he was. There were many Gulfhawks through the years that amazed millions of spectators, but two of the most famous were the F3F Biplane and the F8F Bearcat.
