The 1973 White Box issue is from the original 'Four Star' molds and part of Monograms incredibly popular & successful 1/48 scale WWII series that they started in the early 1960s. This is one of two known box art variants of the 'White Box' issue. This one has a very interesting photo & text/layout variation over the more common issue. features wings that fold properly as on the actual aircraft, retractable main and tail landing gear, working arresting hook, rotating turret with elevating gun, opening bomb bay doors with dropping torpedo, crew members, ground crew figures and more. Molded in gloss dark blue and clear. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

1961 'Master Modelers Club' and 'Air Power' hardbox issue sporting the original 'S' kit box artwork. Inside, the airplane is from the original 1950s 'S' molds and even has the original decal artwork for The Flying Dragon. Well molded and features rotating turrets and propellers, pilot, copilot and bomber figures and more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Does not include trading cards or stamp. The box looks slightly better than the 'very good' ranking but is rated as suchj because there is a small price tag on the left side panel and a 1.25" x .75" tape tear on the upper long panel.

Very early 1960s Tamiya model with high gloss box top and very collectible artwork. This is a superbly nicely molded kit for that time featuring clear fuselage half and cowling, well detailed interior, working ailerons, flaps and elevators, retractable landing gear, also three crew figures and more. The kit is intended to be motorized and includes all hardware and special stand that holds the batteries. As was the custom, Tamiya did not include the motor with the kit and it has to be purchased separately. Includes markings for four different aircraft. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags; all three bags still have the special Tamiya paper headers present and in factory-new condition. Includes decals and instructions, both of which are in 'excellent++' condition.
