Includes the following high-definition cast resin aftermarket sets that are complete and never used: True Details 48032 B-29 4 Main And 2 Nose Wheels Set and True Details 48543 B-29 Propeller Set. The actual kit is the first issue from 1977 with excellent mold quality and the desirable color Diorama Instructions. Highly detailed inside and out and includes optional parts for the proper turrets for Thumper or the special turret delete for the atomic bombers. Includes two nuclear bombs 'Little Boy' and 'Fat Man', which were not included in some later issues. NOTE: this kit has very minor and 'excellent++' quality subassembly as follows: pilot & copilot seats to bulkhead. There is no other assembly. It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing #47 side to nose gear bay. Otherwise complete with all other parts present. Includes decals & instructions & diorama sheet. The box displays much better than the 'good-' rating, but it is graded as such because a 4"x3" section of the lower long side panel was very neatly cut out then taped back in.

This is the original 1967 RB-66 issue, not the 1990s reissue. It is a fine model from the original 'Four Star' molds and features rear gun turret, cockpit with three crew, opening bomb bay and bomb. Molded in gloss silver and clear. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. When the Air Force phased out the B-66, they converted many into ECM aircraft, hence the RB-66A. Monogram seized this opportunity as a new lease on life for the B-66 molds and the result was this issue as RB-66 aircraft were being used in Vietnam in the late 1960s.

From the 1960s and quality Frog molds. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Box art is by the famous Jo Kotula who did 1930s covers for the magazine 'Model Airplane News' and later the Aurora box art of the late 1950s. Air Lines kits are all Frog molds that the Lines Brothers imported to the USA between 1964-1966. The kits, decals and instructions were made in England, then imported to the USA where Testors created the boxes with the colorful trading cards on the back. There are one or two trading cards on each box which show the boxart but not the advertising/logo. Some kits contain a Testors color painting guide also, but it is not specific to any model.

Despite much anticipatory rejoicing by Army aviators, this interesting project was abandoned when most fixed wing types were transferred to the USAF.

Rare 1955 issue in the 'Picture Gallery' series. The dramatic scene shows Javelins intercepting IL-38 Bison bombers. Some of the Sparrow-like missiles are going ballistic (ground clutter perhaps?) while another blows the port wing forward (yes- forward) on the uppermost Bison. This series was done before Bill Campbell started doing the artwork for Hawk. As Bill told me, the Picture Gallery artist fell ill and Bill took over - that's how he got in with Hawk and why the PG issues were so short lived and rare today. This is an excellent kit for that time with Hawk's famous fit & finish, very fine raised & recessed surface detail, full landing gear, pilot figure, 6 air-to-air missiles and green-tinted clear canopy & 'teardrop' based display stand & arm. Even includes a 'near mint' condition capsule of factory glue and the special small, illustrated instruction sheet that is only about how to use the glue. The parts are the correct light silver plastic light green clear. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory. All of the small parts are still sealed in the original factory 'krinkle' bags. Includes decals, assembly instructions and glue instructions. In the mid 1950s Hawk experimented with some interesting box shapes; this Javelin and the triangle-box F4D Skyray are the two best known. However, they were not the size of most other kits so stacking them was difficult. Hawk discontinued the practice fairly quickly and went back to standard size, rectangular model boxes.
