1966 hardbox issue with a 100 price extension, making it the first Air Commando issue. This model makes an ideal "Classic Builder" because Revell used the original 1950s molds from the 'S' F-104 with Sidewinders. Includes F-104, four AIM-9 Sidewinders, missile cart and ground crew. Molded in dark camo green and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Early issue dated 1969; but from the lack of a price extension on the part number it is from the early 1970s. Large 1/32 scale model has very good detail and features full Jumo engine with removable cowling, detailed interior, sliding canopy, bomb load, crew figures and more. Never started. Please note that the box displays almost 'near mint' but is graded 'excellent-' because there is residue from old (and long since gone) masking tape on the lower center of the four box sides.

Includes three mint condition Super Scale International decal sets that are fresh from one-owner, climate controlled storage: #48-998 USN & USMC VMFAT-10 / VF-83, VF-72; #48-999 Commander Air Group 18 and VF-3; #48-1008 VF-726, ATU-2, NOTS. The actual kit is from 1978. This completely multi-textured chrome plated model features pilot, 'good' cockpit, two piece canopy, Thai Air Force decals, optional underwing bombs, drop tank and missiles. The chrome is in amazing 'near mint+' condition (not perfect, but has on very minor and isolated small flaws). I have properly protected the chrome for shipment. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Early 1970s issue with Scott Eidson hardbox artwork. The Marusan F-86D model is known for an amazing array of action features and accessories, and the UPC reissue includes them all. This model has removable radome to display the radar, opening canopy, removable tail section with dolly and detailed jet engine with engine stand, operating leading edge slats, operating wing flaps, moving control surfaces, retracting landing gear, retracting/extending missile tray, boarding ladder, and extra missiles with missile cart. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried and the actual aircraft is complete, but NOTE: missing the base for one ground figure. Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes decals and instructions. This is at least the third edition of this UPC kit as the first one had a rather graphic error - it pictured F-86 Saberjets on the box - NOT the F-86D 'Dog version. Still factory sealed. Dated 1993 and well detailed with 108 pieces. This special 'Dam Buster' version of the venerable Airfix kit is properly modified to a No. 617 Squadron aircraft includes the Wallis 'Bouncing Bomb' or mine for attacking German dams in WWII. The bomb was spun to 500 rpm, and the attack had to take place at exactly 220 mph at 60 feet above the water. The bomb would be released and would skip over the water to the dam wall, where it would roll down roughly 30 feet underwater. At this point, it would detonate. Given that water is incompressible, the blast could only go one place - through the incredibly thick concrete dam wall. As you can only imagine, this raid was very dangerous and 32 crew were decorated after the May 1943 mission.
