First issue dated 1956 with the "S" kit artwork that has made these kits so famous and collectible. The box is in investment-grade "Near Mint" condition. It has factory-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no creases or tears, no missing litho and no price tags. The only flaws are very light wear and short sections of old tape residue at the center of the two long sides (the tape is long since gone). This issue has 'SeaMaster' in yellow on the box top; the other issue has it in red. Inside, this well molded jet seaplane includes the clear 'Revelving' globe display stand. The airplane is molded in gloss gray and clear. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts, decals and instructions present. Instructions are 'near mint+' and the decals are 'excellent+++' with slight yellowing as the only significant flaw.

1961 hardbox Air Power issue from the same molds as the famous 1950s Pre 'S' kit. Makes an ideal builder and is molded in gloss silver and clear plastic. Never started and the parts & ball paperwork are still in the internal factory sealed bag. Literally the entire contents of the box is factory sealed. Please NOTE that this box displays better than the 'very good' grade. The reason for the lower rating is because there is a factory flaw on the right short box top side. The lithograph 'slick' got caught up in the machine and folded under itself, leaving about 1/3 of the right small side panel as bare cardboard.

Classic Cold War kit in large 1/40 scale. Features fine raised panel lines, pilot figure, 'in flight' configuration and decals. Molded in gray, white and clear. The kit has not been started. NOTE: missing prop retainer and display stand. Inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions. I believe this is a 'Yunyj Tyechinik' release and not the earlier MZMPI. This company succeeded MZMPI (which was the first kit manufacturer in the USSR) and continued till a new name was introduced in the mid 1970s. Yak-18s have been observed in service with the North Korean air force as recently as August 2018.

1960s issue with the famous 'Airfix -72' logo. This is the RAF Military version of the very poplar business jet. Appears to be an early variant, perhaps the 1A or at the latest a 400 series. Can easily be built to business aircraft configuration if you supply your own decals and eliminate some of the small antenna. Features cockpit detail and crew, optional position main and emergency doors, separately molded elevators and ailerons and optional position landing gear. Never started. From 1963 with classic John Steel artwork. The hardbox is in 'excellent+' condition with great color and gloss. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. This is one of the famous Aurora WWI series of 1/48 scale aircraft. The series began in 1956 and Aurora added new kits into the early 1960s. The line proved incredibly popular, so some of this series were included in the 'mold upgrade' in the 1970s before Aurora went out of business later in the decade

The Aurora kit is significantly larger (1/270 scale) that the Comet issue and varies in fair number of important details.
