Includes the superb Airwaves #AC7255 PE Detail Set for the cockpit & exterior and a Squadron Crystal Clear Canopy #9117. Both are factory sealed. The actual model is very well molded and detailed with pilot figure, 'good' cockpit, optional position canopy, drop tank, bomb and missile loadout, full landing gear and more. There is a full paint guide and decals for two aircraft; one of them is the very colorful red-and-white striped one on the box art and all of the striping is included on the decal sheet. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The instructions have some bug damage but nothing that would interfere with using them for assembly.

Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I personally considered Sterlings to be 'deluxe' kits.

It is noteworthy for it's excellent fit & finish and the large and beautiful set of decals for the "Gulfhawk" Gulf Oil sponsored air-show aircraft flown by the famous Al Williams. Williams amazing stunt routines amazed millions of spectators over several decades; however (and unfairly), his Gulfhawk aircraft were more famous than he was. There were many Gulfhawks through the years that amazed millions of spectators, but two of the most famous were the F3F Biplane and the F8F Bearcat.
