Rare, large 1/32 scale solid model from 1942. At that time, their were 'fliers' and 'solids.' 'Fliers' were notoriously off-scale and lacked detail so they would fly well. 'Solids' were true scale models that were solid wood and designed only to be scale miniatures (they did not fly). This kit has a worn and clear taped box but inside everything is factory mint because all parts and the plans are still wrapped in the factory tissue. They have never been unwrapped, so you will be the first to open them up. Features a 12 inch wingspan and from what I know about these kits it has balsa blocks and wood stock, printwood and quality plans with construction notes, cross section templates as well as a painting guide. Marvel Mfg. Company was located in Seaford, Long Island, New York and had an extensive line of solid aircraft, wooden ships, army tanks and more. Just as a small example, the following are advertised on the back of this larger-scale solid kit: Grumman JRF-2, Mariner PBM-1, Bell YFM-1, P-38, P-40, Baltimore, Ryan STM-2, Curtiss AT-9, Douglas A-20A, Republic Guardsman, Grumman Skyrocket and Douglas 8A-5.

Mid to late 1950s Comet kit issued by Kleeware in Great Britain as 'Comet Series Authentic Scale Models.' This issue is of the larger, near-1/48 version of the S2F. As with most Comet kits, this one is well molded with all recessed panel detail and no unsightly rivets. Features retractable sonar dome and MAD boom, extensive clear windows, wing search light with clear cover, rocket under-wing load out, rotating props and display stand. Molded in gloss gray and clear. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: one missile fin is a different color; it is from an earlier issue of the same kit. Please note that the box displays better than the 'good' grade but is rated as such because there is clear tape on the right short side and a small amount of clear tape on both long sides adjacent to the right short side.

From 1956 - the first and only issue of this rare holiday season gift set. Contains the A-4D Skyhawk and HRS-1 both with US Marine markings. The box has excellent color and gloss, four solid corners and no tape, price tags, torn or missing litho. However, it has the typical 'cross hatch' marks from the original ribbon that Revell shipped these kits with as well as heavy ribbon marks along the top as shown; there is also moderate wear on the top long side. Inside, the HRS-1 is molded in the correct dark blue plastic and the famous clear Revell base and correct Marines decals for this this issue. The A-4 is molded in the correct medium gray with the clear base and correct and colorful Marines markings for this kit. The instructions are correct also and show these unique decals on the models. The kits have never been started. Both are still in the factory sealed internal bags and include decals and instructions in excellent condition.

Still factory sealed but the seal has splits and the right side of the seal is missing as shonw. Classic Cold War kit in large 1/40 scale. I have listed this as a Krugozor ('Horizon') release as it has their logo and name on a short side and appears to be dated 1975, which would align with Krugozor production. Krugozor (or MFDI) took over Yunyj Tyechinik production in the mid 1970s and production continued till 1993. Yunyj Tyechinik orignally succeeded MZMPI, which was the first kit manufacture in the USSR.

Rare kit from the 1940s or very late 1930s. Every rarer in this condition - with a complete box and all contents never disturbed other than when I did the inventory. This is very unusual due to the age and their very fragile nature. This model is one of Joe Ott's mid-range line in size and price. It features glue in a metal tube, 2 sheets of the unique Ott-O-Matic formers on thick stock, factory-carved balsa wood propeller, thin hardwood wing ribs, factory-cut stripwood stock, a factory sealed paper envelope for the small parts (usually consists of fully carved thrust button, main wheels and metal prop shaft/rubber motor hook), clear material for windows, color insignia, covering tissue and excellent plans. The kit has never been started. The loose parts have been inventoried complete and the paper envelope is still factory sealed.

This kit has never been started. It is either still in the internally sealed factory bag or has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
