Vacuform Model Kit

Rare dual conversion kit which features excellent vacuform parts. First, the BFC-2 includes the rear upper fuselage fairing, a very good cockpit (which is completely lacking in the Monogram kit) and two-piece, optional position clear vac canopies (mint condition and not yellowed). Second, the BFC-1 conversion is a full fuselage only - other changes are required as well, so the BFC-1 conversion will take research and advanced modeling techniques including scratch building - it is not for beginners. Includes instructions with exploded parts diagram showing the base Monogram kit, full written assembly instructions and very good color scheme notes. Inventoried with all parts present and instructions. While these kits say on the front that they include decals, not one that I have seen has had any decals and this one is no exception. NOTE: this is the conversion kit only. Requires the Monogram base kit which is not included.

This is one of a very popular series of World War II aircraft that Monogram originally released in the 1960s. Contains decals for 'Star Dust' piloted by Capt. Andrew Reynolds from the 9th Fighter Squadron of the 49th FG or 'Schuftie', piloted by Flt. Lt. Les Jackson of the 7th Sq of the Australian Air Force. Still factory sealed. The seal is intact and shrunk; it has pulled the box top slightly concave. This is the original issue dated 1975, which includes desirable diorama instructions. This model was well ahead of it's time and the 'gold' standard in four-engine bomber models for decades. It is highly detailed model with a very good interior.

First issue dated 1966. This kit is part of the very famous line of 1/48 scale World War II action kits. Finely molded and detailed for that time with traditional Monogram quality. Features optional parts so you can built a the shipbased (float) or wheeled land version, good cockpit detail, underwing bombs, elevating and rotating gun, pilot and gunner figures, five piece canopy that can be positioned closed or in several open configurations and choice of US Navy or Royal Navy decals. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Royal Navy aircraft were called Kingfisher I and 100 of them were delivered with both wheel and float gear. The US Navy aircraft is that of Lieutenant William F. Eadie from a Kingfisher squadron based in the Ellice Islands. He spotted and rescued Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker and his companions after they had been on a raft in the Pacific for 21 days and virtually given up for lost. Lt. Eadie moved the most injured into the radio compartment while Rickenbacker and the other crew member were lashed to the wings. Eadie figured that the aircraft could not fly, and luckily he met a PT boat and transfered the uninjured men to it.

Rare, original issue 4-Star kit from 1961. The box is in 'very good' condition with like new color and gloss and light general wear as shown. Very highly detailed for that time and features a unique system for retracting and extending the landing gear: when you pull the propeller outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Also features movable ailerons, elevator and rudder, detailed cockpit, sliding canopy, pilot figure and more. Includes rigging material and instructions for rigging. Molded in the correct red, yellow, silver and clear plastic. The original internal yellow cardboard presentation material is present and in 'near mint' condition. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present Decals and instructions are in amazing 'excellent+' condition.

1983 issue of this classic large-scale 'Action Model' from the original 'Four Star' Monogram line. Includes a large and extensive decal sheet that has all checkerboards for 'Contrary Mary' as pictured. Canopy opens and closes to show highly detailed cockpit. Tiny levers under the wings drop 2 bombs. Knob on the bottom rotates and extends/retracts main gear and tail wheel; all gear doors including the tail wheel open and close automatically with the gear. Not only do these features sound great, but they work. My built kit (White Box issue) is 40+ years old and still functions like new. Very nicely detailed. Molded in silver, black and clear. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory bag sealed and still sealed, and the parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions.

Dated 1995. This very large and highly detailed 1/48 scale features extensive interior detailing, optional position bomb bays, bomb load, detailed wheel wheels and much more. Comes with decals for Lucky 'Leven. This kit does include the bomb cart, 1000 lb bombs, conversion parts to make the kit one of the two atomic bombers and the atomic bombs 'Fat Man' and 'Little Boy' which were deleted from later issues.
