This 1/200 scale plank-on-frame kit is manufactured by Serial Modellbau of West Germany and most likely dates from the 1970s. The back of the box says "This model kit contains everything except glue - all marine fittings - nails - hardware - sails - wood parts and complete instructions are included." Wel designed and detailed model kit features full instructions in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, superbly drawn full size plans with numerous with detail views, precut cloth sails, plywood bulkheads, keel and mast caps, numerous brass and metal parts including bilge pump, hinges, lifeboat, anchors, chain, brass & metal nails, wooden blocks & deadeyes and more, mahogany planking and other hardwood planking, wood stock as required, rigging thread, full rigging diagrams, precarved hardwood stand and more. Never started. All parts and paperwork are still factory sealed in and to the lower box (tray). Although no one know for certain, this high-quality line of craftsman ships probably appeared in the 1970s. Known kits from this series include Bluenose (1921), L'Ann Alexander (1836), Royal Yacht (1661), Armistad (1832), San Gabriel (1497) and Prince Neufchatel (1802).
