Lindberg 1/48 JU-87B Stuka, 524-98 plastic model kit

1/48 524-98 Lindberg JU-87B Stuka

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed NM++

Still factory sealed. The box is in stunning, investment-grade 'Near Mint+' condition but the seal has many splits; part of the seal at the left is missing as shown. Late 1950s hardbox issue with stunning Ray Gaedke box artwork. This is an excellent kit for that time and was the only 1/48 scale Stuka until Monogram's 1968 issue. Features fine panel and rivet detail, crew of two with seats, rear machine gun, separately molded rudder and 'flap/ailerons', four small wing load bombs, large centerline bomb with 'swing arm' so that it would clear the propeller in a dive, dive brakes, crew boarding step, rotating propeller and more. Usually molded in gloss medium green and clear, with the futuristic Lindberg 'V' shaped clear stand and Ju-87 name plate. Thanks to Dusty Rhodes for this information: The markings with this model, A5+HL, are from a -B2 (Trop.) captured intact in North Africa, 1941 and shipped to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. It is still there today (2026). The reason that this was such a good kit is because the Lindberg Skokie-based designers used it as a basis for this model, right down to retaining the A5+HL markings.
